“If nothing else, it might make people feel better that they might have made a statement - maybe someone will listen.”
I don’t want to feel better - I want us to solve the problem.
...after they fill up on Wednesday in order to make it to Friday.
I got little yellow post its, and write drill baby drill on it.. and put it on the pumps where I get my gas... and the local democrats phone number...I post it right next to where it says the total of my gas...
LOL. I’ll support the “Drill Thursday.” Boycotts are useless.
Which clearly illustrates the problem we're up against. These dimwits don't have the slightest idea of how the world works. They think they can increase the oil supply by throwing a temper tantrum. That was the Sixties' solution to all problems, wasn't it?
Idiocy, but if it gets me in and out of the gas station faster that’s fine. Gotta remember to plan on filling up on Thursday.
I fill EVERY day. Sometimes I make it 2 days on the weekend. These prices have forced me to bring back the fuel surcharge on invoices.
I clip every coupon, use every rewards discount/points deal I can find and use the gas price web sites to know where the best deal is on the route for that day but I am STILL spending 350 a week in fuel to keep my business going.
I like this idea.
This is a DumBO caused problem, where he thinks we will appreciate it to drive electric cars powered by wind-turbines that won’t be built for 30 years.
You don’t protest prices by not buying gas on a particular day. You do it by not DRIVING on a particular day.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
This is less than useless. If you want to do something get your 150,000 to do this.
1.Meet in Washington D.C.
2.Bring tar and feathers.
3. Heat tar.
4. Carefully stir all of Congress into the tar.
5. Add feathers to taste.
6. Repeat at White House.
Can someone explain what a boycott would accomplish?
It is a stupid manouver. You will still have to buy gas and perhaps by then, the prices will be 2-3 cents higher.
That's pretty easy, given I might drive twice a month to go to the grocery store. The only ways to make any kind of real difference with gas consumption is to drill for more oil or use less of it.
So, they are boycotting because global crude oil supply has been disrupted and the cost of product to the the service station owner is higher? So, they want the service station owner to deliver gas to them below cost? Sounds like a good old fashioned Democrat boycott. But Dems ride bikes, don’t they? I am confused.
You do it best by driving less everyday, when able.
Most boycotts only hurt the station owners...who are caught in the middle.
Gas strike-—about as effective as pizzing into a huricane.
Uh, you need to have many, many people with a tactical reserve at home who can survive without going to a gas station for a month or more. A one day boycott is useless.
Gee, let’s run this movie for what, the nineteenth time?
Are we really this bug-eyed stupid??
