But, as these things move massive amounts of mass and weight, one has to wonder if there is a tipping point at some time.
Why continually obsess and lose sleep over something that nobody on Earth has any control over or can do do anything about? Utterly ridiculous.
The earth axis moving 10 inches needs to be factored into ALL forthcoming “global climate change” statistics.
The temperatures (highs, lows, etc) may “shift” but it ISN’T man making it change and driving an electric rollerskate isn’t going to change the temperatures back to what they were.
I honestly have no belief I'd be able to convince you otherwise, and am more interested in convincing others who might fall into giving credence to random predictions for an entire planet that aren't even right.
Why wasnt Japan ready for this if they had the warning?????
Japan, as a nation, is the most prepared country on the planet when it comes to earthquake and tsunami dangers. It is the only nation I know of that has an automated national alert system that detects and broadcasts earthquake notices within moments of detection, almost always getting the warning out before the initial shaking has even ended. Because of the nature of the system, it typically gets the intensity wrong, as it sends out the warning during initial motion, but generally pinpoints the location well, and if in water, will include an automatic tsunami warning for areas facing the rupture point.
Physical power systems have a failsafe they fall to which is connected to the warning system. Trains automatically shut down for inspection, factories shut down as well. Building codes are the strictest in the world, and practice drills for earthquakes and tsunamis are a standard practice in the workplace and in schools.
So as a baseline, they are ready for a massive earthquake or tsunami at any moment. There was a one in a hundred chance of a larger event occurring in a very seismically active region. To note, there has been four events of M6+ outside the rupture zone of Honshu in the past seven days, two in the waters off the coast of Japan. Each carries the same chance of it being a precursor to a larger event.
To act upon each as if it was a warning for a much larger event would require evacuating most of Japan. But their constant education, building requirements, and emergency plans likely saved tens of thousands of lives. While similar in intensity to the Christmas quake in Indonesia, the overall death and injury toll in Japan will be a tiny fraction of that from Indonesia. The question, really, is why aren't other nations as prepared as Japan?
Maybe the axis is simply bent. And did this present movement perhaps correct the “shift” made by the Indonesian event.
Updating waypoints?? Mine go back 20 years. I believe they took the “man made error” of the system during the Clinton Administration. I remember the American dude at the North Pole on live TV saying in the presence of one of the Russians “Should I tell him we’re really 100 feet away from the pole?”
More than CO2 created by mankind ever will.
Does this mean that Japan is still an axis power?
“Its not gonna snow at the equator.”
Well, there goes by snowboarding vacation to the Virgin Islands. I guess I’ll just have to go to Vail afterall.
“The Japanese arent Haitians. They wont wait for aid to start helping themselves.”
Yep. They are intelligent and resourceful people that will get on with it and recover quickly. Haitians are like inner city people in that they sit around waiting for a handout.
So in essence, they had the warning there was a small chance that something would happen and it was ignored because it was a small chance.
therefore, not of any more relevance that an Astrologer pointing out there is chance that something could happen within a time frame.
To the left but that's been going on for a while now....
I think my hand-held Garmin is seldom accurate to more than 15 ft., so I guess I can save myself the trouble.
Aside from the fact that the follow on event happened within the seismologists' timeframe, and within the 100 mile region pinpointed, vs it not happening within the astrologer's timeframe who didn't even specify a hemisphere.
And I'll make equivalent the theory that a chance of an earthquake being a foreshock as being 'ignored' to the question 'when did you stop beating your child?' Both imply things that didn't happen.
1/2 the population of one town is missing.
Were they warned in the 72 hours prior to their death that this might happen.
yes or no?
Odd that the paper used meters and inches in the same headline.
I suppose Putin or HU will start a war accusing Japan a territorial grab with the land shift.
hey....its how a commie thinks.....just look at the Wisc unions
Well, now I know why that bottled water spilled while I was raking.
Only if humans caused the axis shift.
