DAYTON The citys Civil Service Board and the U.S. Department of Justice have agreed on a lower passing score for the police recruit exam after it was rejected because not enough blacks passed the exam.
The city lowered both written exams a combined 15 points that resulted in 258 more people passing the exam, according to a statement released Thursday by Civil Service officials. The agreement allows the city to immediately resume its plans to hire police and firefighters.
We should apply the same standards to doctors, dentists, nurses, nuclear reactor employees, air traffic controllers, pilots, and politicians.
I know.... some of those already suffer from this madness.
Brilliant! Political correctness and outcome based determinations are a total failure and actually harm the desired outcome by providing no incentives for individual improvement.
One silver lining to the immigration issue is that I’ve had West Africans work with me who were a pleasure to deal with; we also have no shortage of very motivated Latinos, and I’ve had some black American women that are sharp, on-the-ball people. I’d have to say our worst tokens are white women; some are great to work with, but a few are useless window-dressing (at high salaries).

Time to disembrace the culture of stupidity.
Some of these places are starting to lose (and pay out on) lawsuits related to this (filed by the whites); I wonder when we’ll start seeing lawsuits filed by family members of people who’ve died as a result of these policies (inept police or firemen causing deaths).
Many areas with these policies lost many of their taxpaying citizens (the ones that matter most) years ago; nobody cares what citizens on the dole think anyway.
In fact, this is just a way to get some of those remaining people to at least get out of bed in the morning...
This action supports racism and stupidism.
But then it is by his Lordship AG Holder to keep the Law
and Rules special for “his people” above all others.
Meanwhile, MLK is turning over his grave because his “Dream” speech is continuously abused by people using their race to advance versus using their skill or content of their character.
I hope you folks realize that most of your professions like lawyers/doctors/engineers have the same race based lowered admission standards.
Data for 2005-7 supplied by the Association of American Medical Colleges shows that a black applicant to a medical school with a 2.80-2.99 GPA and 27-29 MCAT score has a 67.9% chance of being admitted, while a white applicant with the same credentials has only a 16.3% chance; and a black with a GPA of 2.8 to 2.99 and a MCAT score of 36 to 38 has a 100% chance of being admitted, while a white with the same credentials has only a 40.7% chance.
A study of the University of Maryland School of Medicine found the relative odds of admission in 1999 for a black vs. white applicant with the same credentials to be 20.6 to 1.
If they CAN’T pass the exam, then they have no right to be cops.
So these are the Best and Brightest hunh?
People might want to start rethinking that 911 call before they pick up the phone.

This is why patriots must work hard to elect constitutional sheriffs, and muster a 2,000 man volunteer deputy auxiliary force for “emergencies.”
When the fat, over paid “cops,” who work for big city Marxists, cross into your county, you have a legal and persuasive way to order them back to their liberal hellholes.
The only proper peace officer for a free people is an elected sheriff who is accountable to the people.

There’s no reason for fear. Police officers are amongst the highest trained people to legally carry lethal weapons. I’m not saying they always perform to those standards.

As long as they are receiving a paycheck, no, they will not question the intelligence of this move.
