Holy S***! That is a huge quake. Luckily Japan has very strict building codes.

Well, they have a different approach than Los Angeles. I hope Japan’s worked for them.
In any case, both Tokyo and L.A. have the best Earthquake resistant building codes in the world.

Reporter said airports closed runways; think he said nuclear power plants shut down. Large tsunami already hitting in a northern city. Fires breaking out.
wow! 30 minutes after the quake and they are showing huge studio lights shaking like crazy in Tokyo.
