Just confirmed on WTMJ, TEACHERS and students from madison West matching on Capitol building. Students carrying signs, nice to know they still have art class.
I hope someone in Madison is taking pictures of the teachers, because they need be be terminated. This is the second time they have a led a walkout and illegally removed students from class.
If some kid gets hurt, the parents will likely sue, particularly if they didn’t want junior at the protest in the first place.
You would think taking the students out of class like this would cause HUGE liability problems. What happens if someone gets hurt as they are marching, or some type of violence takes place?
I’ve been looking at the Assembly room for the past hour. Where are the Repubs? The Dems are there and have been since noon. Now the Repubs are just being obnoxious. They are more than an hour late.
It has to be at least a mile away so probably the most exercise a lot of these kids have gotten in awhile.
The Republicans can’t get into the building through the protestors. They will hopefull start soon.. Should be some fireworks soon in the Assembly
Actually just reported that Republicans are in caucus right now and should be there soon.
What happens if the kids get caught up in something destructive and are filmed doing it? Who would be the responsible party in that situation? The unions?
With the threats of bombs being planted at the Capitol mentioned in the email last night threatening the lives of the Republican senators, these teachers are guilty of child endangerment not just kidnapping.
Prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
The Dems, liberals, unions and Obama do not have to follow any laws or rules.
Easy... The parents will just sue the state/School district.
Probably in response to Michael Moore calling for a “student walkout”.
Michael Moore Reacts To Wisconsin Union Vote: “This Is War” (video)

Michael Moore is enraged after the Wisconsin State Senate voted to strip public unions of the ability to collectively bargain. Speaking on MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show,” Moore said “they think they can get away with this.”
Moore also calls for a “student walk-out” across the nation on Friday in response to the Wisconsin vote.
“This has to continue day after day and these governors have to step down,” Moore declared.
“The rich have committed these crimes and the people will demand your ass is in jail,” Michael Moore said with a pair of handcuffs on the set of Maddow’s show.
Moore also shocked the audience by telling the rich and bankers that “we have a right to your money!”
Just great! They’re encouraging kids to go to a place on lockdown and declared dangerous. Child endangerment, anyone?
It needs to be done with finesse, of course. The focus should not be anti-union, per se, but anti those who have turned public education into a vehicle for Leftwing change.
We live in times that require parental permission slips to take the cherubs to an art museum, so I’d imagine there are parents who would not be happy about the chilluns being taken on a march w/o permission...
My 15 year old step daughter marched out of class a few weeks ago (in Wisconsin— not in Madison though.) The teachers told the students they would not get in trouble for walking out of school to support the teachers. After the school got flooded with complaints from the parents the school handed out mesely 1 hour detention slips to the kids who didn’t have parental permission to walk out of school.
Step daughter had no clue why she was participating in a walk out. “It’s because of that guy... Walker... my friend’s mom is going to lose her job and house and it’s all because of Walker!” Not many of the kids understood it. It was the cool thing to do.
I hope your step-daughter was reprimanded. Unless, of course, your spouse or the ex thought it was hunky-dory, in which case you probably have bigger problems than truency.
Where are the signed slips here? Potentially, a giant OOPS for the unions.
Extra credit is a form of payment.
