I don't know what else needs to happen to convince people that this nation has a very serious problem. And I mean a VERY serious 1860 kind of problem.
Yes, to what you said....I’ve thought recently about how I heard of families being divided in the 1860’s...the same is happening now...
I should really trademark or get a copyright because it is a milwguy original!
If per chance Walker were drafter to run for POTUS in 2012, I can sea waves of supporters with T-shirts with a picture of a teleprompter with the no circle and line through it with the words Walker leads, Obama reads below.
Walker:
“Dirty tricks!!!??” The 14 Senators have been out of State for over 3 weeks.
Constituents in these districts need to ask why their elected representatives aren’t there voting on their behalf.
Gov. Walker should call out the National Guard and get the place cleared out.
Contrast that with Obama who RARELY takes questions, and when he does fumbles, stumbles, and bumbles, give long winded answers that are just BS. Walker is clear concise and can think on his feet. Harvard vs an Eagle Scout, Badger Boys Stater
I see you used the 1860 reference. I get it. Some years ago I read a book about what happened in Congress just before the civil war broke out. It was much like what is happening now in Madison. To all FReepers there, God bless you.
“Public employees will pay more for their benefits, but still not as much as those in the private sector.”
“Public employees will no longer be mandated by law that they have to join the union and have $1000 deducted from their paychecks to pay the union dues.”
Some bimbo in the Q&A just asked Walker about the “dirty trick” (that’s funny there) the pubs played yesterday and Walker responded to her by saying the dirty trick was played by the 14 Senators and that democracy was for them not to be in Illinois but instead in Wisonsin arena.
Scott Walker is AWESOME.
Thank-you for the live stream....I was quite miffed when Fox cut away.
He's implying this may be being orchestrated from DC.
He's a very calming influence.
He says he welcomes passionate debate ... but doesn't want out of state folks coming in to cause trouble.
So far police are trying to get people leave voluntarily.
He sounds so calm and reasonable. He's answering questions directly and succinctly. No umming, no teleprompter, no evasion. Very impressive.
Says when this all settles out, we'll find it is not something dramatic, just giving local school systems the tools they need to balance the budget. That there will still be workplace protections, etc.
I wish Walker was my Governor here in New Hampshire.
What I had in common with my cousin in Wisconsin isn't worth the contacts.
so he made it a right to work state? sounds like it. no longer will you have to belong to a union, and the state will no longer collect union dues.
excellent!
I hope other states take notice!
And, no more school board decisions based on seniority, they can hire and fire based on merit!
This guy so far, has impressed me beyond any republican in recent years.
Time for State police or National Guard?
I pray for the protection of Scott Walker. And I really wonder what will happen if the Democrats take the next step.
Darn right you should...talk about spot on!
I wonder what the over/under is for when they actually start firing weapons?
