President Obama, speaking at a fundraising event Tuesday in Boston, made light of the "birther" conspiracy debate about whether he was really born in Hawaii.
I think there's nothing -- there's no weakness in us trying to reach out and seeing if we can find common ground. Now, there are going to be times where we can't. I was born in Hawaii, what can I say? I mean, I just... I can't change those facts.

Soebarkah’s taking a pounding in the yahoo comment section.
Thats the funny part!!!
There’s an easy way to stop all of the talk. I guess he doesn’t want to do it the easy way.
Or, he can’t.
Wow! I just checked the comments over at Yahoo.
You are right. Barry is taking a pounding in the comments. I went through several pages of comments and there was not even one comment defending him.
Again...Wow!
OOPS,
Need to correct. I posted;
Well, it looks as though more of the proof of obamas birth in Honolulu is garbage.
Turns out the birth index **page** for obama is missing one important feature. Its a date. Unlike all other indexes from Hawaii, only obamas page has this index feature missing.
http://myveryownpointofview.wordpress.com/2011/03/06/its-a-date
I should have made clear that the date range was missing from all of the pages viewed in that 1960-1964 Birth Index book, not just the one that obama is entered on.
I apologize for any confusion.
Someone gets it! I wish more did.
What may be the most damning info is his age. He only missed Hawaii becoming a state by two years if he was born in 61. If he’s two years older, then no one can argue that he’s eligible to be Potus.
Hey, and I’m not even the PRESIDENT...talent INDEED.
Actually, I just finished reading his book "Dreams From My Father" (or as some people call it, "Dreams From Bill Ayers") and he does make that statement in the book. The fact remains, he has not proven it.
So prove it.

Dear Obama, maybe you yourself "can't change those facts", but many of us are wondering if grandma and grandpa Dunham and your mother "played" around a little bit with the facts about where and when you were born.
So what do you think, Obama? Did grandma and grandpa and your mother play around---maybe a little bit---with the facts of your birth?
For instance, were you really born in a hospital in Hawaii as you claim?
You see, I'm sorry to say but many of us have our doubts about your birth hospital, and we won't be sure that you were born in a Hawaii hospital until you allow Hawaii to release a copy of your long form birth certificate, the one that former high-ranking official, Fukino, claims she looked at, and the same long form birth certificate that the newly-elected governor of Hawaii seems to have difficulty finding recently.

If you’re playing political poker and you’re holding an ace in the hole, do you show it early? I don’t think so, John!
I know that no one who cares about my birth certificate would ever vote for me, so why should I appease my political enemies?
Why do you think that I had my buddy Governor Abercrombie call off his investigation for my long form and get with the program?
We love it when we can get Republicans to carry our water for us on this issue. Why just last week, we got Governor Sarah Palin to call the birther movement “distracting” and “annoying.” Thanks Governor Palin!
We prefer to let former Republican Governor of Hawaii, Linda Lingle’s statement stand without any comment from us:
“You know, during the campaign of 2008, I was actually in the mainland campaigning for Sen. McCain. This issue kept coming up so much in the campaign, and again I think it’s one of those issues that is simply a distraction from the more critical issues that are facing the country. And so I had my health director, who is a physician by background, go personally view the birth certificate in the birth records of the Department of Health, and we issued a news release at that time saying that the president was, in fact, born at Kapi’olani Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. And that’s just a fact. And yet people continue to call up and e-mail and want to make it an issue. And I think it’s, again, a horrible distraction for the country by those people who continue this. ... It’s been established. He was born here.”
Very truly yours,
Barack Hussein Obama II
President of the United States
You mean he was born here?

Dear Obama:
I can't wait to see what legal, OFFICIAL Hawaii document you attach to your presidential application forms when the presidential primary season begins.
If you attach a copy of your Hawaii short form birth certificate to your application, I can't wait to see if it is an exact copy of the short form birth certificate you displayed on your website during the previous presidential campaign.
However, if the Hawaii short form birth certificate with the OFFICIAL Hawaii SEAL that you attach to your application form differs in even one detail from the Hawaii short form you displayed on your website, you are in a lot of political and possibly legal trouble.
I still think this is a good idea: I hope that Republican presidential candidates go that extra mile and VOLUNTARILY attach a copy of their long form birth certificate---even if state law doesn't require them to do it---in order to assure the public that they have nothing to hide about their births and that they are who they say they are.
Sincerely,
Mirse

Hawaii changes its birth document format quite frequently. Why just last year Hawaii changed from “Certification” of Live Birth back to “Certificate” of Live Birth but the state Seal and the Stamp of the Registrar remain the same.
Have you read Hawaii’s Department of Health Public Relations Officer’s description of Hawaii birth documents?

If anyone really, truly, honestly just MUST see my original, long form, vault copy birth certificate, all they need do is go to their favorite judge, get a subpoena and present it to Hawaii Health Department officials and, voila! they will have it.
In fact any Republican Committee Chairperson in the House of Representatives can issue a congressional subpoena for my birth certificate today, if they were at all interested in seeing it.
Take good care, John,
Your friend,
Barack Hussein Obama II
President of the United States
Moe plausible than the story in “Dreams...”
Here’s a link of Barry himself saying he is a Kenyan and not born in Hawaii:

Every time something inconvenient comes up for Barry, this gets brought back up. Get your @$$ handed to you in Nov? Have the Hawaii gov bring birthers up! Look like a total idiot while the ME burns? Joke about the birthers.
