NPR hates you
Washington Times ^ | 3/9/11 | Editorial

Are you a white, middle class, gun-owning, church-going conservative? Then NPR hates you. This stark but unsurprising revelation came in an undercover investigative video by conservative activist James O’Keefe targeting NPR senior executive Ron Schiller. Mr. Schiller thought he was chatting up Muslim activists promising a $5 million donation to the embattled publicly funded network, and he sought to appeal to them by disparaging people who disagree with his liberal worldview. “The current Republican Party, particularly the Tea Party, is fanatically involved with people’s personal lives,” he said. They are “very fundamentalist Christian – I wouldn’t even call it Christian

Just wait...when the NPR is defunded (if it is) they will have no pretext of balance to act as a restraint, and they will act like a pedophile in a grade school in a third world country.

Then they will go on an all-out assault of conservatism. At that point, I hope their public support will mirror Err-America and its radio successes.

Maybe our local public station will put some good old movies on when NPR and affiliates go under.

Exactly. The leftists HAVE been attacking what they perceive as right-wing media: Fox News and talk-radio. The key difference is that Fox and talk-radio(at least conservative talk-radio) earn a substantial profit, something NPR/PBS only wish they could do.

"Don't confuse contempt for hate. "

You are exactly right. hate is an emotion of extreme anger. Which means two people/groups of an equal class level.

Contempt can only be for people/group who are inferior and worthless.

Correct me if in error, but I think that it's not produced by NPR, NPR buys it and plays it.

Right-o! Garrison Keillor, Steve Smith ("Red Green"), Jim Henson and many others became multimillionaires from NPR/PBS. Sesame Street royalties could easily pay for all of NPR-PBS with no other inputs. It's just a large kick-back scheme for leftist politicians.

It’s high time liberals stopped acting like they are serious and actualy came out of the closet and admited what a bunch of losers they are or, if not, outright shaped up.

"I resent his remarks" Means you do not like his remarks and accept he is from the upper class.

said as a snide remark would be saying it as, "you best not put me into a lower class you snot."

As a 'former' contributor to NPR (way back; before I figured it out) do think of those telethoners reaching out to the public, who NPR 'serves' - asking for money - whatever can be spared so that they may continue to enjoy their programming and of course, to join their NPR family. And while they count the money; these same harbor their snear and loathing for the contributors and probably get a good laugh as well.

Hope the 'givers' get it; if they have not yet, that is.

Like MSNBC, public broadcasters should simply embrace the fact that they represent the limousine-liberal stratum of American society and get on with life.

They will not admit that they are what they are. If they don't admit it to others, then they don't have to admit it to themselves, and the comfortable liberal bubble stays inflated.

O'Keefe KNEW what he would find at NPR, that's why he went after them.

They hate us so much that they won’t even force us to pay their bills themselves - they make the IRS do it.

“And we hate them right back “

So that means your answer is “no” to the pledge drive request?

And we hate them right back

I don't hate them. Do I have contempt for them? Oh, yes indeed, I 'mirror' the self-same contempt they have for me, and mine right back at them, magnified a hundredfold. But hate them? Never!

Why might you ask? The answer is simple. There is a crucial element to the emotion of "hate" that few people pick up on, but it is necessarily present for "hate" to begin. That element is fear, and one thing I'm not, is afraid of these cheap, snarky 'oh-look-at-me-I'm-oh-so-clever' morons...

NPR hates the U.S. Military, unless it can find a story regarding a gay, female troop that got kicked out.
