GOP imposes $100 fines on Wis.'s AWOL Democrats
By Scott Bauer, Associated Press 17 mins ago
MADISON, Wis. Republicans in the Wisconsin Senate voted Wednesday to fine the chamber's AWOL Democrats $100 for each day they miss of the legislative session, and the governor said the GOP remains committed to his plan to strip most public workers of their collective bargaining rights.
Gov. Scott Walker met with GOP senators in a closed-door meeting a day after releasing details about concessions he's offered to Democrats, saying he had the backing of his fellow Republicans.
"They're firm," Walker said after dashing out of the meeting and into an elevator at the Capitol.

"I don't know what else I could possibly do to compel them to come back," Fitzgerald said after the vote to fine the lawmakers.
Erpenbach said threats of arrest and fines are not productive.
"They're talking about parking spaces and copiers when they should be talking about collective bargaining and Medicaid," the Democratic senator said. "They've been talking about resolutions and all this other stuff, and it's just wasting everybody's time."

At least they're talking ... as compared to hiding out in another state.
What a waste of time.Make it a thousand dollars a day each at least it will bleed the union money suppiers dry.
Sorry, I’ve been listening to the Bozo Scott Boys (Fitzgerald and Walker) all day. These two are so dopey. They think of the fleebaggers as their brothers in government. They know that the Obama forces and big unions are working this issue behind the scenes, yet they still think that the camaraderie of the Senate/Legislature will prevail.
Walker is an embarrassment. He is a little boy playing governor at Badger Boys State.
Fitzgerald mailed the paychecks to all the fleebaggers and Walker just admitted in his current news conference (right now) that he was at a meeting with Mark Miller in Kenosha last Wednesday. Since Kenosha is in Wisconsin, one could presume that he could have had Miller picked up right then and there. Do you really think they will make their brethren pay those fines?
Fighting by Marquess of Queensberry rules in a street brawl will just get your ass kicked and make you look dumb. The GOP never learn.
... said the democrat senator from his hideout in Illinois.
Hilarious.
Nothing wobbly about you Bob,quite refreshing btw.
Put a lien on their houses.
They should just invoice the White House and George Soros.
I wonder if a few of 'em are driving gubmint vehicles. Oh, boy.
Does anybody think that if the circumstances were reversed the MSM wouldn’t be referring to it as a unanimous vote of the Senate?
Serious question, though. Why aren't the senators who are still in session passing some interesting bills, voter ID for example? Is there something in the Wisconsin constitution which forbids something like this?
Because they want to play nice so the Dims will love them?
Hadn’t thought of that. You’re probably right.
There's a reason they call us the stupid party.

Like I pointed out in a previous thread...They all have
a gov’t cell phone, and some of them have three.
Cancel ‘em.
Would the RATS pass Commiecare if the Republicans scrammed town? You betcha.
You know, at MY job, two days of no-show, no-call results in termination. Fire the bastards and have a special election to replace them.
