ARLINGTON, Va. - Arlington police say a brawl broke out during the DMV music awards ceremony, sending one person to a local hospital.
Police say five people were treated Saturday night at the scene of the awards ceremony, which honors local rap, hip-hop and R&B performers.
About 1,500 people attended the ceremony at the Crystal City Hyatt, and witnesses said more than 20 police vehicles responded to deal with a half dozen fights that broke out.

The hip hop communities version of a mosh pit.

“community’s”, dang-it
Darn Amish and their Clip Clop events.

I think the “DMV” referred to is the “District, Maryland, and Virginia”. In that area, people refer to the District of Columbia as “The District”, and Maryland and Virginia suburbs are referred to by the state name.

I bet somebody got “dissed” and so the violence broke out because of that.
Certain people take high offense at being “dissed”, and feel the need to retaliate for all slights, real and imagined.
Yeah ... but doesn’t that enrich our so-called “boring” white bread culture?
In celebration of everyone in the room having had a birthday after waiting a year in line.
