The good news for Willard Mitt Romney is that his religion wont knock him out of the Republican race for president next year.
The bad news is, hes got an even bigger problem now than the magic underwear jokes Romneycare.
Thats the question he has to address, Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H) was saying Friday afternoon. Not just in New Hampshire, but nationwide.
You know how big a headache this is when even Mitts highest-profile supporters are dodging brickbats over the chaos that is Massachusetts health care.

Seeing that a RINO Romneycare candidacy is too mouldy and crusty to ever get off the ground no matter how much money and faux adulation the dinosaur press lobs at him - the left will now focus on trying to make a different socialist into the Republican nominee.
I suspect this is the beginning of the worm turning against Romneycare. If he can’t be a useful turd for the left they will discard him just as they did with Snarlin’ Arlen.

It seems like just yesterday that communist health care in Massachusetts was all fun and games...
To: 50mm
Doesn’t matter how hard he trys to blunt the issues with his faux claims of religious bigotry, we don’t even care if he is LDS.
His problems are his record and lack of visibility opposing The last Congres and this administration these last two years.
He can’t demonstrate any semblence of a defensible position.
Period.

I will take your bet in a heartbeat.
The Midwest and the south hate Obamacare so much that Mitt Romneycare (always have the courtesy to use his full name) will be rejected before they get far enough down on their list of qualifiers and disqualifiers to reach the issue of religion.
And that is the point of this article. That Mitt Romneycare will be rejected so fast and so totally that most people will never even know what religion he was (Americans not focused on politics won't remember a candidate who was soundly rejected in the 2008 primaries by the 2012 primaries)

My big problem with Romney is RomneyCare, the blueprint for 0bamacare and its loathesome requirement to pay for health insurance whether you want it or not.

Mitt Romney: "I'm not running as the Republican view or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.
(Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldnt make any sense at all.""

Gov. Romney’s biggest problem isn’t RomneyCare. It’s his reaction to it. If he would’ve taken the position, “We did as well as could be done - and it all went to crap; proving that Government run HealthCare is a losing proposition.” - He might have a chance.
Instead he continues to say it’s a good plan. It just needs the right elected officials.
That’s the point Mitt, we don’t want the quality of HealthCare to be subject to the whim of the electorate.
I rather suspect that some advisers told him that his “flip/flop” reputation would kill him if he reversed his position on HealthCare. Unfortunately, as a past Romney supporter they’re wrong. It’s way easier to defend “flip/flops” if the “flop” is to the right side.

My big problem with Romney is RomneyCare, the blueprint for 0bamacare and its loathesome requirement to pay for health insurance whether you want it or not.
There were about 7,000 cases (I think) where people didn't make enough to afford their own coverage but made too much for the state to pick up the tab. So the state hires a law firm to sue those people to collect fines for not having insurance, which means people who can't afford a policy now owe fines and are still required to buy health insurance or face further fines (the fines do NOT go toward their health insurance).
I hear, like with Obamacare, that some people get "waivers" from the fines. But "everyone's covered", right Mitt?

Which then begs the question, did he think the corrupt, socialist thugs in the state legislature at the time he signed the bill were "the right elected officials"? If he didn't, why did he go along? Either he's a tremendously bad judge of character or was only out to pad his resume.
