U-T PING
You and the rest of the idiots, (including those with the title “Justice”), may do whatever harm to the intent of the Founding Fathers you wish. Remember, the SCOTUS blows it too, (Dred Scott v. US, Plessy v. Ferguson, Roe v. Wade, et.al.), and NO ONE today, (least of all you), possess the intellect and brainpower of those who drafted the Constitution. That document doesn’t need interpreted, by the way. It means precisely what it says.
I’ll take the wisdom of the very wise Founding Fathers over people of limited intellect.*
(*Look in your mirror)
Probably will within a year or so.
Hunting on Saturday. Football on Sunday..............
It’s not the poaching fines. It’s the federal time.
Like William Bratton noted - Major criminals also commit petty crimes. Poaching usually involves a gun. As someone, for example with a half dozen convictions for quad stealing, meth manufacturing and barn burning, one is a felon. If that one is poaching, then that one is a felon in possession of a gun. As such, one is going to jail, essentially for life, in Club Fed. I’ve sent them up there myself for exactly that.
Therefore the stakes for what seems like a simple and relatively minor night hunting beef get a whole lot higher. Just like a traffic stop, you never know what you are going to get into when it starts out.
Nope, so long as its done with due process.
The intent of the Founding Fathers wasn’t anti death penalty, just that it shouldn’t be cruel or unusual in method of application.
The fact that they mention “no one shall be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process” is proof positive that they took the notion of capital punishment for granted.
But notice they don’t mention deprived of any RIGHTS, which the state cannot do as the state doesn’t bestow them.
They don't call this the "Redneck Riviera" for nothing!..............
God’s Country indeed!
I say that is good. Keep killing them and perhaps some cars won’t be destroyed by them standing in the middle of the road. Seriously something is wrong with people today.
IMHO, a man should be able to hunt anytime of the year for food on his own land. I see no reason for the government to regulate that.
Where do y’all live, again?
How many acres do you own????
Foothills of the Allegheny mountains. Pennsylvanian Appalachia - southwestern corner of the state outside of Pittsburgh. What we call “Pennsyltucky”.
Huh, not enough.....but where I live a lot of the guys have farmland and live in the boonies....they all own guns. I wouldn’t say a word if they killed a deer for fresh meat for their table.
Nice area to visit when a kid, my Dad’s family was from Republic.
Now I don’t know, haven’t been down there since 2005.
They will steal your quad and burn down your barn. Saturday night is for driving around throwing bricks through the windshields of oncoming cars. They molest their kids and marry their first cousins. They are the most ignorant of rural inhabitants.””
Sounds like every inner city in the country. Either that, or the state of MA where white trash homosexuals seek same-sex marriage; and these people live in Boston.
It is still beautiful country. Rolling hills and woods, rhodedendron along clear trout streams. Most of the people are the salt of the Earth.
But here and there are thieving, stinking hoofs who think they have the right to take your stuff and who will shoot your dog and burn your house if you object. Always have been since the first settlers crossed the Alleghenies.
The saving grace is that every so often they get a little mountain justice. It was on those rare, blessed occasions when someone decided to commit a hot burglary of an inhabited dwelling, and found themselves on the receiving end of a load of up close and personal 00 buck, that I was proud, as a member of the constabulary, to mark the case file ‘justified’ and closed.
Second Amendment in action. Thus endeth the lesson.
Poaching, is called that because it was not done on your own land. If you are hungry and you own land and need to hunt to feed yourself there is no hope for you. But I don’t know how anyone would know it anyway.
