Arlington police are on the scene at NorthPointe Baptist Church on Brown Boulevard, where at least one person is dead and one is injured.
Police responded to a call at the church about 4:15 p.m.
NorthPointe is satellite campus of First Baptist Church in Arlington.
According to WFAA's website, police said the suspect or suspects in the case may have fled the scene in the female victim's car, which was missing from the scene.
The vehicle is a four-door, cream-colored 2007 Mitsubishi Galant. The license plate number is DFR-352.
Police have asked that anyone who spots the car alert authorities and not approach anyone inside the vehicle.

It’s relative I guess, I live in So. Arlington/edge of Mansfield so for me “it’s close to Jerry World”, but yeah not really the neighborhood. My understanding is that on one side of the street is upper-class and the other side is Section 8.
I would doubt that there is any Section 8 housing in that part of Arlington, although the feds have developed regs that mix Section 8 into higher income areas to force “diversity.”
I know the area well, have lived here for many years, close by. It’s not high-crime, although no place is safe any more.
Condolences and welcome to FR.
Prayer request from pastor of 1st Baptist Arlington concerning NorthPointe Baptist Church in Arlington:
Facing This Tragedy
Dennis R. Wiles, Pastor
Thursday afternoon will be forever etched in our memories. While many of us were busy about our routine activities, Clint Dobson and Judy Elliott were attacked in the offices of our mission church, NorthPointe Baptist.
As you know, Clint did not survive the events of that afternoon. While I write these words, Judys life hangs in the balance.
Obviously, we are all in shock as we try to come to grips with this unspeakable tragedy. Our prayers are with Laura Dobson as she deals with the reality of losing her husband. We are praying for Clints parents and the rest of his family. We are praying for Judy and her husband, John as she is struggling to recover from wounds she received. We are praying for our satellite congregation, NorthPointe Baptist Church as the members of this church are reeling in the midst of this tragic news.
In times like these, we turn to God and cling to the big truths that we know. Our God is a God of grace and glory. He is enthroned forever. His will is sovereign and His grace is sufficient. The events of Thursday afternoon have not altered any of that.
Plus Jesus Himself said, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Clint Dobson died in the light of this profound truth. His earthly life was lived in service to Jesus. His death must be viewed in the light of the resurrection power and saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. Although the earth is poorer for our loss, eternity has been enriched as one of Gods choicest servants has joined the chorus of the redeemed of all the ages.
The ministry of Clint Dobson survives. Eternal seeds have been sown in countless lives. His preaching and his life have served as proclamation of a glorious Gospel that is mankinds only hope. Clints family will be sustained by the power that is only realized in that Gospel. We will all trust God to comfort, strengthen and heal.
In the face of our profound sorrow, we will all walk forward together knowing that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
To God be the Glory.
See post #24 our Church in Seguin is praying for yours, I just posted the prayer request from Dennis Wiles.

Thanks WKB
What happened? Shot or only beaten?
Our church gets calls like that as well. Most of it is scammers.
No connection to the church, never been there. Just calling around looking for money and getting MAD when they say no.
Clint was built like a line-backer, he was very athletic so it had to have been more than one person because he if it was only one he would have kicked his ass.

Prayers for the family, the church family and the community.
You can Concealed Carry in church in Texas unless they post a sign.
Wow....this is beyond tragic. I’m SO sorry for yours and everyone’s loss in the church....
PLEASE ping me to any updates...???
Praying for all involved. I hope the good people of TX start carrying, signs or not.
Okay, so they post a sign. If you’re concealed how would they know, and on the other hand, someone wanting to shoot up the place a sign wouldn’t stop them. Just saying.
I made a wrong turn last night trying to go to the UTA library and ended up around there. Scary.
I visited your church last August after going to a Rangers game the night before. Very sorry for your loss and will be praying for your church family.
Virtually all of the CCP holders are law abiding citizens. They aren't willing to go to jail and/or lose their permit by violating the law. Most churches in Texas don't post - only the confirmed loony left.
someone wanting to shoot up the place a sign wouldnt stop them
No, all the criminals obey the law. That's why there wasn't any gun violence in Washington, DC, or Dee-troit, or Chicago...
Then they should have called the MORMONs...
I am just reading this news. My heart breaks for you all. Will be praying for your strength and courage in this fight against the evil one. My deepest condolences to your pastor’s wife.
