MADISON, Wis. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker said Thursday that he will issue layoff notices to 1,500 state workers on Friday if his proposal forcing them to pay more for benefits and taking away nearly all their collective bargaining rights isn't passed by then.
Walker also said in an interview with The Associated Press that he is negotiating with Democrats who stymied passage of the bill by leaving the state for changes to the proposal that would get them to return. Walker said he won't compromise on the collective bargaining issue or anything that saves the state money.
"I can't take any of that off the table," he said

Walker kept trying to play nice. Since when do the Democrats care? He should have done this the day the fleabaggers hit the road.
...enjoy the time with your family, you can thank the democratic party for leading you down this path....SUCKERS!
Yep, elections have consequences. LMAO
After 3 weeks of anarchy and chaos and no end in sight?
What took you and the GOP so long Gov Walker. Were u paying to much attention to the PR war, while allowing chaos to breed? Who is advising you? Karl Rove?
Don’t they get 99 weeks of unemployment?
Taxpayers are the biggest chumps. :)
I can’t wait to watch these spoiled brats cry when they’re told they don’t have jobs anymore.
But look at the upside: we have a ROARING Obama economy. They should have no trouble finding new jobs with great pay. :)
“Forcing,” taking away,” “won’t compromise.” I always pull the weasel words and prompts out of copy written by these media whores. And they deny their crap is slanted.
It's like the Wild West - Jim Doyle robbed the bank, went to the saloon and bought rounds of drinks for all, trashed the place and left without paying.
And everyone wants to blame the guy with the broom trying to clean up the mess.
There’s your “hope & change.... enjoy.
Ugh, I hope Walker isn’t negotiating away the best parts of the bill - the things few people have been talking about. The parts unions are so terrified of are about Wisconsin refusing to withhold union dues and the option workers would have to opt out of the union altogether.
The collective bargaining stuff is important, but letting people opt out of the unions, forcing the unions to have elections each year to remain certified, and ending the state collection of dues are the best parts of the bill - and are the pieces of the bill that would drastically diminish union power for years or even decades to come.
Excellent.
The biggest slants are what's NOT covered and how stories are "played," i.e., how much space they're given and where.
What is your problem. Walker is handling this sistuation just right. Walker, his family, and all the Republicans have had their lives threatened. Walker is following the law, and most of us are just fine with what he’s doing.
The (professional) rent-a-mob has blood in their eyes. Live rounds of ammo were found stashed at the Capitol today. Pray for him and all our legislators that this ends peacefully. Pray for the Dems too, ‘cause they’re gonna need it.
I cant wait to watch these spoiled brats cry when theyre told they dont have jobs anymore.<<<<<
Do these brats get 99 weeks of unemployment??
How much do Union bosses lose? A pittance, eh? (not Canadian)
>And they deny their crap is slanted.
Relax. Everyone that is not a 100% Christian will answer for every lie before being thrown into the Lake of Fire.
I pray not anyone on FR, or anyone I know. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.
