Ugh, I hope Walker isn’t negotiating away the best parts of the bill - the things few people have been talking about. The parts unions are so terrified of are about Wisconsin refusing to withhold union dues and the option workers would have to opt out of the union altogether.
The collective bargaining stuff is important, but letting people opt out of the unions, forcing the unions to have elections each year to remain certified, and ending the state collection of dues are the best parts of the bill - and are the pieces of the bill that would drastically diminish union power for years or even decades to come.
My gut tells me that we will be disappointed in the end. Governments at all levels seem determined to push us into a Socialist Hell. I can't see a permanent turnaround towards Liberty.
