MADISON -- The 14 missing Senate Democrats have until 4 p.m. today to return to the Capitol or face apprehension tantamount to arrest with or without force."
GOP Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R-Juneau) ordered the apprehension of the senators who fled the state two weeks ago to Illinois to avoid a vote on Gov. Scott Walker's budget repair bill.
Republicans voted 19-0 to give the Democrats until 4 p.m. Thursday to appear before the Senate.
"They have pushed us to the edge of a constitutional crisis," Fitzgerald said. "We simply cannot have democracy be held hostage because the minority wants to prove a point."
The Senate also voted for a "call of the house," which is the mechanism used to compel senators to return to the chamber.
That means the Senate sergeant at arms Ted Blazel can "with or without force" and with or without the help of any law enforcement officers in the state to take them into custody and bring them to the state Capitol.

....Which directly comes from the Union Coffers...which come from the peoples money... of which they have no choice.
Democrates will fight this hook, line and sinker to "save" the big bucks they stand to loose from the Unions finacila suppoert for their candidates....especially for Obamas run.
Yep...looks that way doesn’t it...and they are headed for a host of other problems if they keep this up. They are embarrassing their party and themselves in most remarkable ways...this will not be forgotten.
I doubt very much these Democrats ever thought for a minute this would last as long now as it has...or that they are in up to their necks as they are. I believe completely that they are being “paid off” to continue this charade....
“Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald says the orders are only binding in Wisconsin.”
So it’s just another toothless resolution in a long line of them this week. Might be time to start a pool as to when this thing actually ends. Sadly it does not appear to be anytime soon, eh.
So what did Gov Walker talk about? I wish he would reveal what he & the demoturds are talking about. Personally Gov Walker, you hold all the cards in your hand. Why would you negotiate or compromise on ANYTHING wih demoturds!
Round and round the cash flow goes...into one pocket and out the other and back into the one it began with. The Union has to pay for these Hotel stays for obvious reasons....but there is more money being paid out then just for meals and a place to lay their weary heads....you can bet on it!
Thank you. Yes, he was, and now he is in federal law enforcement (no union!). He did not particularly want to belong to a union when he was a police officer, but it did provide some benefits that were not available otherwise. He is definitely not a pro-union guy.
I must admit I haven’t followed this close enough to get all the details—from what I’ve heard, the Republics hold the governorship, the senate and the house in Wisconsin, yes?
(Kind of like what happened when Obama came into power)—
therefore, the Republicans are the majority and do not need ANY democrat votes to pass bills (kind of like the Republicans kicked to the curb for 2 years are “I WON” won)—why are these cowards such a big deal? Why can’t the Republicans simply pass this budget bill and be done with all this drama queen crap???
Because passing a budget bill in the Wisconsin Senate requires a quorum present of 60% (20 of 33 seats).
The Republicans have 19 Senators -- more than a majority, but short of a quorum.
Oh my! Would I ever love to see them shuffle marched into the Wisconsin Senate chamber in manacles.
The Gov should encourage citizen arrests and bounty hunters to go to Illinois. Bring it on.
“And film it for a COPS episode!!”
Whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do WHEN THEY COME FOR YOU?
Those campaign finance violations take a couple years to process. The rats play to win, unlike the pubs, who play to appear honorable. The rats always plan on losing money to fines and penalties. It’s part of their campaign accounting budget, I kid you not. Nancy Pelosi went through it, said it was the cost of doing business. Same with Maxine Waters. The costs of the penalties, paybacks and fines are built into their campaign financing just like any other cost. It doesn’t bother them or slow them down a bit.
So, in addition to the illegalities, the cost pf fleeing and associated expenses will all be recouped as long as they win, and they have no intention of doing otherwise.
Hog tie the communist bastards and carry them in on sticks.
kills me how they can camp in Capital
when we protested and won against state income tax here in Nashville...11 years ago now
cops were not our allies and we were kept off everything but the most outer steps
session was closed
So far...NOTHING has happened.
Yeah, so far it's been, "go to your rooms and play Nintendo until you learn your lesson!" No consequence, therefore, no response.
