Yeah, a bunch of politicians branded them as liars, so all taxpaying citizens can breathe a sigh of relief, knowing their government is protecting them from being lied to!
.... uh, wait a second....

And I take comfort from the fact that, for the first time in decades, there are no Kennedy family members in Congress.

Fascinating. The Washington State Supreme Court has held that it is not illegal for politicians to lie, either in their public statement to voters or in written materials used during campaigns.
The justification was amusing, but it came down to that politicians cannot be expected to tell voters the truth.
So If a reporter from Canada, crossed the boarder at Blaine and entered Washington State to interview say Patty (mom in tennis shoes) Murray, and was told a string of lies (perfectly legal) the Canadian reporter could not report that on the Canadian news.
Wow, laws are so fascinating!

“to repeal a law that forbids lying on broadcast news”
So there’s no news broadcast in Canada?
The test pattern is the only thing I’ve ever seen broadcast that has NO lying in it.

a law that forbids lying on broadcast news Do Canadians ever think it's odd that clips of politicians speaking have never been broadcast in their country?

If FOX NEWS is telling so many lies, why aren't the poor victims taking advantage of our slander and libel laws and inundating them with lawsuits?
Could it be that a lawsuit would bring about "discovery" wherein the "lies" might be provent truthful?
People who fight this hard against FOX NEWS have something they don't want aired, or lies they don't want exposed.
Otherwise, it seems to me, Canada and the obamabots would all be piling on with lawsuits.
After all, the lefts only hope of winning is to shutdown all the conservative outlets...otherwise, the truth prevails.

What the hell kind of a free westernized country will ban a whole television network? And how do they get away with it? Couldn’t a canadian company just set up TV broadcast towers all along the border on the american side? Couldn’t a canadian company set up an internet service on the american side for the purpose of canadian subscriptions? Fox netflix for instance? AM radio? Shortwave radio? Satellite TV? Satellite radio?
