As Republicans ramp up their 2012 campaigns, South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is certain to be one of the most sought-after endorsements in the country, considering she's a rising star GOPer who presides over a key early primary state.
Haley, like other politicians, has been cagey about who she will support, but she's already giving big hints about who she won't endorse. Per The Fix's Aaron Blake, the South Carolina governor suggested to a group of reporters Monday that she thinks Newt Gingrich's time has passed.
"There was a place and time for him," Haley said. "I think there is a respect for him that he's been there and done that."

Couldn’t agree with Nikki more - nice way of saying this is a man not to be trusted to do what he so eloquently pontificates about.
Well, gosh! I'm in some good company. I'm not a fan of Newt, either. Let him go sit on the couch with Pelosi!

Nikki Haley was recently the target of DU-dummies when there was a picture of her typing on her Ipad, ignoring Obama’s speech to the rest of the Governors.
This woman is doing great stuff and she said it correctly. Newt’s time has long gone.
How can you not love someone who was sued by the AFL-CIO her first week in office?
Typing while OBummer was giving one of his “Blah, Blah, Blah” speeches a few days ago and now a slap at Newt, Gov. Nikki Haley is starting to impress me more and more.

I don’t even think Newt is really running.
A lot of the state drones don’t like her so that is a plus in my book. If it were me, I would have been doing something useful, even playing a game, as opposed listening to the wun lie and pontificate.
But that was then...and since then, he's shown he's not trustworthy and is more rino than conservative.
Newt should go back to giving those history lessons. We have a severe shortage of quality American history and civics teachers and a critically dumbed down population to show for it.
I’m not a fan of Newt either. I sure am of Nikki Haley. Between Palin, Bachmann and Haley the field is in play. These are intelligent women who made their own way in the world and know how to govern.
What’s that old saying: Please, JUST FADE AWAY!

Newt has pretty consistently supported conservatives, but he’s also at the same time an opportunist, willing to trim his sails to the prevailing winds, witness how Pelosi used him on that Anthropogenic Global Warming couch.
He didn’t know anything abut the subject, but just wanted to be loved. Not good.
That said, I’d definitely vote for him against Obama, it’s just that I fear he would become another GW on domestic issues——soft and looking for love.
No more professors.
