I know we ate a lot of C-rations in vietnam that were put up in the 40s and they were just as delicious as the day they were put upSame for Thailand. They were still good, but pretty filling. Lot of fat.

When I was a kid in the late 70’s when we bought our house, the previous owner left cases of food from the early 60’s. It was still tasty, and my friends and I smoked the cigs in the accessory packets. They came in a 4-pack little box. Now THOSE were stale. But what did I know, I was 13, and we thought we were cool. We freshened our breath with the rock-hard Chiclets.

"They were still good, but pretty filling. Lot of fat."In the olden days, nutritionists knew that fat was an ESSENTIAL part of the diet, especially for soldiers and people who would need to endure. Nothing better for endurance than good old fat. Excellent choice.
