Why I don’t like Ron Paul
Politicons ^ | March 2nd | Henry D'Andrea

Posted on 03/02/2011 8:45:30 AM PST by conservativeforpalin

After releasing my Top 5 GOP frontrunners list for March, many Ron Paul supporters were very unhappy not seeing him in the top five. They left tons of comments complaining that I didn’t include him and saying he is the only true hope for 2012. As most of my regular readers know, I do not like Ron Paul, and I support Sarah Palin for President. So, to not seem biased, I wanted to tell you why I don’t like Ron Paul. However, not to leave you in the cold, in terms of 2012, if he were the Republican Nominee, I would support him.

First off, many Republicans are strongly pro-war, and Ron Paul is not just anti-war, but he has adopted some of the more obnoxious and inflammatory rhetoric from the Left about the war that is extremely grating. Hell, according to Paul, Iraq is a war for oil and empire, engineered by neocons, and in Paul’s book, we deserved to be attacked on 9/11. That is not Conservative at all, and quite frankly disgusting. I do not want the President of the United States with that mindset. Additionally, Paul’s inconsiderate, “we must leave immediately, regardless of the consequences,” position on Iraq comes across as poorly thought out. Even though Paul is opposed to the war, the disengaging of the United States from the war immediately and without consequences is very thoughtless. It’s something you might hear from a Liberal college student at an anti-war rally. Even President Obama and Secretary Clinton, all whom have spent months trying to convince America that they’re the most anti-war of all, have said we may be in Iraq for years to come, though Obama has set a date for withdraw.

Secondly, Paul wants to get rid of the CIA...............

It comes with the territory. I can't go into the grocery store without people staring at me and mothers clutching their children to their side. Must be that glint of an impending psychotic seizure in my eye. LMAO

Hahaha! Speaking of that, I’ve begun buying big cheap soup bones for my half Chihuahua/half Jack Russell and roasting them for him. Much cheaper than those big bones at the PetSmart or Petco places and it keeps him busy for days.

Half Chihuahua/half Jack Russell - that's one helluva combination. LOL! I love Jack Russells - one of the smartest small dog breeds I've ever seen. You ought to kill two birds with one stone with those soup bones, and get a good, meaty one to use for stock while you're at it. Our current dogpile populace is a company of two (we sadly lost Number Three last fall to cancer), so one bone ain't gonna cut it. The neighbor's dog is also a semi-custodial charge of ours - a big, beautiful, Collie-Lab mix, but they don't feed the poor girl worth a damn. They just leave her in the back yard and let her sleep in a crawlspace under the foundation of the house, and their idea of feeding her is pouring a five-pound bag of Ol' Roy on the ground once or twice a week, so we pick up the slack. She'd probably squeeze in the dog door and sleep on our bedroom floor if she could tunnel through the cinder-block retaining wall and get under the fence. When we buy meat, make it a point to make sure there's cheese enough to go around to all the mice.

He likes meat & cheese, but also most fruit and vegetables (loves potato scraps) but won’t eat anything fish-related. They just pour dog food on the ground?! If they don’t want to treat it right, why even have one?

They're lower middle-class trash, and I guess owning a dog and treating it like livestock is is par for the course here in Alabama, or so it seems. The mother is divorced, has a young daughter who is a bit bizarre, and her son, who used to live there, is now with his father, because she couldn't control him and the cops knew that there pretty much was a crime in progress every time they saw him in public. The mother is a decent enough gal, friendly enough, she's held down a steady job and seems to keep the bills paid, but she burns through one bad relationship after another and generally doesn't have a clue. Certainly not the type to get hyper-pissed off at, but someone you wish you knew well enough to sit her down and have a little talk with her and not insult her or hurt her feelings. As neighbors go, I've had a lot worse in my life, but this gal really needs a orientation refresher.

Having a neighbor who needs a little fixing sure beats neighbors from hell (our last place) or no neighbors to speak of (this place). ;-)

"Btw Lormond, I can’t imagine why anyone would think the U.S. was nation building or had troops all over the world....Hmmmm...Why would anyone think that Lormond??"

I gave you 5 hard examples of world hot spots and the fact that NOBODY in the Conservative movement is asking for US troops to intervene or setup a government.

Your response? Ignore the facts, repeat the lie.

Yeah - the cops showed up last night at the house directly across the street from us for the 2nd time in three days, and dragged off the current neighborhood thug in handcuffs. We just can't figure out why that house attracts so many low-lifes when it's rented. It was a rat hole when it was bought and remodeled about five years ago, and a cop and his family moved in for about three of that. They even had a church bus parked in the back of the driveway. And simultaneously, we had a county deputy living next door, on our other side. Kept the peace around here for quite a while, and now it's back to Tombstone again. The house the deputy lived in got rented to a gaggle of meth heads who were apparently dealing and running a lab, because the cops were there on an almost daily basis at one point. Then a jump-out squad of narcs and DEA agents raided it one morning and carted the lot of them off. That house had been extensively remodeled, too, but the dope heads trashed it - stole all the copper pipes, busted holes in the walls, the works. Even the kitchen sink was gone. Poof. Missing. The place was in such bad shape, the bank that foreclosed on it sent workers in to clean the place up, do some quick patch-up work, and they put it on the market, as-is, for $44.9K. And this is a two-story brick family home with a sun room and brand new deck, and sitting on about 2/3 of an acre, mind you. We're only two years away from paying off our mortgage, then we're going to put it on the market and build a place where the nearest neighbor is about a mile down the road.

Okay, I take it back about having the neighbor from hell, for mine were merely pushy, nosy, and irresponsible with their pets.

Yours are so much worse, by far. I pray that you’re able to get to your peaceful home soon.

dragnet2 says: "lol...too funny!"

Well, at least I was half right...you just ignore the facts this time.

Respond directly to this if you are capable, its a simple question....

Where are the howls from "neocons" asking for US troops in Egypt, Libya, Iran, Tunisia, Yemen and Bahrain?

Actually, they're all over the internet with some here. You can look it up and do the research yourself. Calls for going into Iran etc., in fact are fairly common. Everyone but you apparently knows this.

>>Yes, there are a couple of countries we're not in..lol<<

You get a cookie!

The fact is we have troops or or military personnel on the ground all over the planet. This is no secret...

Below is a list, which is said to be about 3 years old, of where our U.S. military troops/personnel are. I will assume this list is fairly accurate and no doubt the DOD would basically support this.

Look, the U.S. is broke and borrowing money from Communist countries while rolling out the red carpet for millions of illegals from Mexico...Our standard of living and economy is nose diving...

You think this kind policy is normal for an independent, financially crippled country?
