President Obama can't make up his mind. His inaction is going to get a lot of innocent people killed and make us look weak. Jimmy Carter pulled this crap by sending our Navy all over during the Iran hostage crisis, but failed to successfully launch a successful hostage rescue or military campaign against Iran.

Its a civil war and the best place in the world for American troops to not be. From what I heard on the news earlier there are growing divisions among the opposition so it’s likely to be a be a multi sided war with Daffi coming out on top.

Not defending Obama, but where exactly in the Constitution does it allow the USA to intervene in the domestic affairs of a sovereign country? We have absolutely no business going into Libya. I feel for the people, but this is their war, not ours. It’s not like instability in Libya is something new. Ever heard the Marine Hymn? “...to the shores of Tripoli” refers to the First Barbary War, and specifically the Battle of Derne in 1805.

Obama’s relatives in Kenya have been on Q-Daffy’s payroll for a long time. No one should be surprised that Obama isn’t supporting the overthrow of the regime.

This isn’t our civil war. We do not need to intervene in another muslim country. No more nation building at our expense.

Europe deals with Libya far more than we do. Let them solve it.

Not that any rational person could take QaDaffy’s side but he is the govt of Libya and govts do have a right to defend against a civil war or uprising.Or at least they should if the concept of national sovereignty is to have any meaning. If QaDaffy were engaged in genocide or mass murder instead of military operations, viscious as they seem to be, there would be cause to intervene.

Ditto...it’s a no win situation. We didn’t send troops in to Rwanda to sort out that Civil War, genocide, whatever you want to call it. I can see no positive outcome for us in Libya...they’ll hate us either way, and American blood will be spilt if we intervene. EU will talk a big story of support for us to prevent a “genocide”, then run like they did in Iraq and Afghanistan. We are not the world’s policemen, especially the Arab world’s where they are not our allies.

Its a civil war ... sometimes the rebels win, sometimes the established government wins. Just ask George Washington and Jefferson Davis how differently things can turn out ...

I'm not pro-Khadaffy. I'm also not pro-Rebels. A pox on both their houses.

I think the reason you see folks complaining like myself. Is President Nero sent his agitators (Ayers, Code Pink) to the Middle East to teach them how to be professional protesters kinda like a community organizer!!!

Don't let the facts get in the way of the truth here!!!

Zero started this on purpose. He wants to see $10 a gallong gas, he wants a Muslim Caliphate, he wants Israel to be destroyed.

You don't have to be a genius to figure this out.

Doesn't it seem strange that so far, every Despot leader that Obama "BOWED" to is being picked off? Is he targeting them with that BOW for some super muslim gd of his, for who is going to take over this whole mess in those g. forsaken countries.

Whose next on that "BOWING" picture list? Castro? Chavez?, I think they will need to be very wary of this Obama fellow.

Just having fun speculating folks, but sure seems to be a strange pattern.

We should invade the world because mr. frosty seys so?

Not one American life is worth sacrificing for Muslims. You actually think the pigs to overthrow Gadhafi are going to do anything other than wage state jihad against Israel and the US?

If so, you need to read up some. The US is best served if the Muslims are busied wiping one another out forevermore.

Your hypocrisy is showing. I bet you were all for invading Iraq, but not for the overthrowing of another dictator who was responsible for bombing US airliners and nightclubs. Why is it some conservatives have double standards? Wouldn’t you rather there be more democracies in the middle east? Wasn’t that GWB and Cheney’s grand scheme was to remake the middle east?

Somalia started out with good intentions too, under (lameduck) George HW Bush. That did not turn out well.

If I may. I personally was for the invasion of Iraq but not to build a nation. Same with Afghanistan. My position now on those wars is lets state our goal, pull out all the artillery to get there, then leave. My position in regards to Libya is, Stay the heck out. Not because I think we don’t have any national interest in removing Momar Kadaffi but because it’ll turn into ANOTHER endless nation building scheme that NO American blood is worth. And frankly, a lot more Libyan people will die and suffer in a protracted nation building scheme than otherwise: Just like, if I may say it, in Iraq.

I’m really not qualified to make decisions on these types of things though.
