State Rep. Mark Hatfield, R-Waycross, just handed me a copy of his new bill, HB 401, which would require President Barack Obama to provide certified proof of his birth to the Georgia secretary of state in order to appear on next year’s presidential primary and general election ballots.
The bill has the signatures of 94 members of the 180-member House, including that of one Democrat, Glenn Baker of Jonesboro.
The measure will get its first hearing on Wednesday. Read the bill here.
If you’re a member of the Georgia Ports Authority or Georgia Chamber of Commerce, still attempting to persuade the White House to add a few zeros to that appropriation for the dredging of the Port of Savannah, this is your cue to cut loose an animal howl of frustration.
At minimum, the bill will make for some interesting chatter when the national press comes down to hear Newt Gingrich’s announcement that he’s exploring a GOP run for president.
Hatfield attempted similar legislation last year. From my AJC colleague April Hunt:
“I think the issue with our sitting president has been left unresolved for a significant length of time that people have concerns,” Hatfield said. “But this is not just about our current president. It’s about enforcing the constitutional provisions for anyone who seeks the office of presidency.”
Hatfield’s bill would require certified copies of “the candidate’s first original long-form birth certificate.” Documentation as provided by Hawaii, which has insisted time and time again that Obama was born there, “would not suffice,” Hatfield said.....

I have no care about the president’s eligibility or whether he committed fraud.
I just want the national media exposed for spending so much time, money, manpower, and resources investigating Bush’s National Guard service, Sarah Palin’s background, various Republican Senator’s infidelities, and whether Willow Palin’s purse during the 2008 campaign was counterfeit or not; but not lifting one f***ing finger to look at ANYTHING in Obama’s background or history.
I think if this becomes a story, maybe more people will wonder why the sycophant news people didn’t look at this themselves.
Not to those of us who know he’s an usurper. If the Democrats in GA do it, Holder’s behind it and if Holder does it, it’s at Obama’s behest. Whichever way it goes, the MSM will spin it in Obama’s favor and to the detriment of conservatives who want to see the Constitution upheld. After all, that’s racist.
Is the DNC subject to FOIA requests? Is there any way to force them to show what they used to ‘verify’ Obama’s eligibility? Since they are the ones who certified him, they should have to produce the methods and documents they used to do this.
If this won’t work at the national level, can this be done at the state level?
Become a member of DNC, contribute then sue them they are a private organization not subject to FOIA. This is a sure fire way of contesting Obama in 2012.
Let’s hope the bill goes into the dual citizen issue.

Obummer is already by his own admission ineligible due to his father being a British Subject. It doesn’t matter where he was hatched out. He’s a dual and not eligible.
Of course he could be ineligible in two ways, the duality and a foreign soil birth.

I do have to continue disagreeing with you though on congressional subpoenas. Congress can investigate ANY issue that it wants and if “the greatest political fraud in the history of the Republic” is what we are dealing with concerning Obama’s eligibility, I still think that the natural born citizen/Article II, Section 1 issue deserves some investigative attention from the 112th Congress.
If the leaders of the House are intimidated by the media, then “no guts, no glory.”
I remind you that even in overwhelmingly Democrat, Chicago, Illinois, US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald wasn’t afraid to go after Obama’s buddy Governor Rod Blagojevich via a Grand Jury investigation which resulted in indictments, a conviction and an overwhelmingly Democrat state legislature impeaching and removing Blagojevich in about a month’s time.
Democrats run away as fast as they can from “damaged goods” in their party and if the evidence was provided that Obama is damaged goods, the rats would be deserting the sinking ship.

It is probable that Obama was born in Hawaii, tho that's not certain. Even finessing the question of Obama's father's British citizenship doesn't do it. Beyond all that, the question is whether Obama, as a child, became a citizen of some other country.IOW, if his mother annulled his American citizenship by/in order to enroll in schools in countries which require citizenship for admission to schools, Obama not only might not be "natural born" American citizen, he might not be an American citizen at all. Tho it is hard to see how the Georgia legislature could require proof of the negative that that did not happen - but it would seem that state law should provide a basis for a court challenge if someone has the goods to take to court. Loser pays, of course . . .
Regardless, it's improbable that legislatures of states which might go for Obama in the general election will enact such legislation. But I'd think that it would at least be a nuisance to have to run as a write-in in all the southern primaries. If Hillary challenged, that could be a signal advantage to her to be able to take the southern states for granted.

Which was a redacted social security number on any government form that was released to the public.

A problem with gaining access to those records is the fact that the State Department is currently under the control of Obama appointee, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (the successor agency to INS) is under the control of Obama appointee Janet Napolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security.
Here is the question that isn't for massaging, just an answer will do.
When elegibility laws are ENACTED, would 0b0z0 ORDER his appointees to release his papers? YES OR NO? If no, what's the problem?
