The 14 Wisconsin Democratic senators who fled to Illinois share more than just political sympathy with the public employees and unions targeted by Gov. Scott Walker's budget-repair bill.
The Senate Democrats count on those in the public sector as a key funding source for their campaigns.
In fact, one out of every five dollars raised by those Democratic senators in the past two election cycles came from public employees, such as teachers and firefighters, and their unions, a Journal Sentinel analysis of campaign records shows.
"It's very simple," said Richard Abelson, executive director of District Council 48 of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. "We have interests and because of that we attempt to support candidates who support our interests. It's pretty hard to find Republicans who support our interests these days."

Contrast that with Walker getting $43,000 from the Koch brothers as part of a campaign in which $11 MILLION was spent. The unions OWN the State Senators and Abelson was right when he says......... "We have interests and because of that we attempt to support candidates who support our interests. It's pretty hard to find Republicans who support our interests these days."
Translated that means the Republicans want to shut off the gravy train and the Democrat union whores will trade campaign cash for favors to the union as long as the unions keep the cash coming.
"Now you tell me, people of Wisconsin, whose interests are these Democrat Senators representing? Are they representing the Unions or you, the taxpayers?"
We support your interests. We just don't support your interests above those of any other taxpayer.
They scratch each other's backs ... being paid off with our tax dollars...
I do not believe either the Walker or Kleefisch will disclose this information to the public in a open public meeting. The only way the information be released to the public will be through the Stae newspapers. I do not believe the Wisconsin State Journal nor The Capital Crimes will print the material as they are owned by Madison.com and printed in the same building. Never could understand that though same owners different papers. I know the Milwuakee journal and the Milwuakee sentinel where two different papers Sentinel in the Am Journal in the Pm. Now know as the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel since 92 or 93. the exact date fails me right now, i believe it is 93.
A conspiracy to suck Americans dry.
The democrats and the unions want to keep confiscating this money from the workers. The last thing they want is employees having the right to decide what to do with their own money. The two champions of the workingman.
