Senate Org circulated a ballot today that would require the majority leader to review and certify the time sheets for those employed by a senator who's been absent without leave for at least two session days.
The ballot, also deactivates copy machine access codes for any absent senator. Instead, those lawmakers' staffs would have to ask the sergeant at arms staff for help in making copies with the costs charge to the senator's office expense account.
The ballot was due at 11 a.m. A spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald did not immediately return a call seeking comment on the outcome. Republicans control the committee 3-2.
I'd say the control right now is 3-0.
Why don’t they seperate the Reform bill and pass the part that does not require funding?
What they are doing now is Zero. Chump changes.
First they came for my free copier privileges, since I didn’t need copies, I said nothing...
Walker=Hitler
I say get on with the firings. The Dummies have no intention of fulfilling their responsibilities as elected officials.
And all those teachers that called in sick should be the first on the list.
They illegally tried to collect taxpayer money.
Enough already of handling them with kid gloves. Time to get tough.
Zenga-zenga them... after the new Qaddafi spoof with the dancing girls on YouTube that has gone viral!
I like it! Right up with Rock the Casbah ;-)
Rockford is having some fun with it:

“Time to get tough.”
Oh, but u will hear from others, “But we are winning the PR war”. I bet they are the same folks that whined when COD took out Castle in Delaware...the power over principal crowd.
What they fail to realize is: What they have gained in “PR” will soon begin to crumble when law abiding WI citizens begin to ask why this anarchy is allowed to continue day after day with no real measures to stop it.
So u r right in your post.
The problem here is that public unions will almost always accept firings rather than cuts to pay and benefits. And in this instance, because the bill will cut off their gravy train auto deduction from state workers, they would be willing to see half the public workforce fired rather than accept what is in the bill.
As soon as Walker sends out lay off notices or fires a bunch of public workers, the union will simply say "well, budget crisis solved, no reason to mess with our union dues or collective bargaining".
I agree, Walker needs to get on with it, but there is a considerable downside. The unions only care about their money, not the public workers they claim to represent.
I think what we really need at this point is for the 18 or 19 Wisconsin Senate Republicans who are committed to supporting Walker and the budget repair bill, to get out on TV as a group and make it clear that they are not changing their mind. It might even be a good idea for one of them to say something like "at first I wasn't sure about this approach, but after careful study and seeing union attempts to stop our democratic process, I have concluded the governor is correct and am now 100% behind the bill".
Heh, heh, nice job at playing a union thug.
According to one Dummie he had been recalled before but won the election. Very cocky. Either these Sen. return to work at which time vote out collective bargaining. These teachers do not deserve to receive taxpayer money. They have shown that their only allegiance is to a NATIONAL objective of a Corporatist State. If the police refuse to apply the law fairly and without prejudice then they should be fired. we have seen several instances, the most glaring is the continued trashing of the WI State House. You would think WI residents would be incensed.
Obama again today through his support behind the union thugs. Time to clean up the mess in WI.
Walker is getting close to the point of deminishing returns.
Fish or cut bait Walker.
Did Walker start the layoffs today?
O hope he did with those rat puke Capitol Police.
CB is a financial matter. It has to be voted on in quorum.
Obama did WHAT with his support???
HEHE I meant Obama THREW his support behind the union thugs.
my bad.
