Fire them all. the teachers who have been absent, the legislators who fled the state, the union thug bosses who only want more for themselves and don’t care about the state, the teachers or the children. Fire them all!

So what’s $165 million in taxpayer money compared to the marching orders of their union puppet masters? They will only return if their puppet masters allow it.

The squeeze is on. If ya can’t get ‘em by law, get ‘em by attrition.

Hurrah! Yes, governor we, the majority, the law abiding, private section people of USA are 100% behind you. If the legislatures don’t want to work, then fire them and get some who do.

"Failure to return to work and cast their votes will lead to more painful and aggressive spending cuts in the very near future," the statement said.

Such as: cutting off their pay, credit cards, mobile phones, et cetera?

Is there such a thing as “contempt of Legislature”? There must be some legal remedy for elected officials who refuse to go to work and do their jobs......

The headline makes it sound like Governor Walker is issuing an ultimatum.
When I read the few sentences of the article posted - it sounds like he's just stating a fact: The Dem's dereliction of their sworn duty is going to cost the State (taxpayers) $165M.
That is an important point - but I'd like to start hearing some ultimatums (assuming the Governor has legally viable options)...

He needs to go Reagan on the lot of them.

Get on tv and explain that since it has been over ‘x’ amount of time since people have left their jobs, he is now considering the positions to be vacant.

Unless they come back within 24 hours, the positions will be filled by competent workers. Period. Then put a call out for teachers and start the process to replace the legislators.

They’ll be back in a NY minute.

These legislators are not representing their American consstituents. It is obvious who they are serving, and should be fired on the spot, IMHO.

Fair warning has been given (over and over). Time for the axe and the blame must be placed squarely on the shoulders of the dims AND the unions.

What a crop of hardcore GOP Governors we have in place now. Just wonderful and amazing. Imagine adults, doing the jobs they were elected to do, and the kindergarteners throwing their temper tantrums.

Maybe I'm just reading between the lines, but it seems to me as if the layoffs (which I thought were going to happen tomorrow, Tuesday) are evaporating or at least being delayed until some undefined future date. I know that yesterday he called layoffs "unacceptable" and now it seems that layoffs aren't going to take place as previously promised.

I hope all goes well for Walker, but I think he has to be careful to avoid any appearance of doubt, uncertainty or fear.

It’s becoming VERY CLEAR, at least in Indiana, that the reason for the fleebaggers isn’t legislation, IT IS REDISTRICTING.....

A WHOLE BUNCH of Democrat seats are about to get deleted, in a whole bunch of states, so many that it’s putting Obama’s 2012 election at risk.

There is a REASON this stuff is being astroturfed out of Washington, folks.
