I agree. These folks should all be fired. The protester teachers are without a class and show no class. They have no class period. The Senate Dems are hiding out of state. Where are these actions stated in their job description? Fire all of them.
I don’t see why a majority can’t rewrite the quorum rules such that legislators who willfully abandon their posts to avoid a vote don’t count toward quorum, i.e. the quorum is reduced by each one that is absent. I realize this practice has a long history, but it’s despicable. It is like the filibuster but worse. I can sort of understand the filibuster-it is like a “jacks to open” rule in poker. But senatorial holds, and the ability to flee strike me as foul play.
