Madison Capitol Police Chief Charles Tubbs said Sunday night that protesters can remain inside the state Capitol.
"The people who are in the building will be allowed to stay,"Tubbs said. "There will be no arrests unless people violate the law."
Several hundred protesters refused to leave the building when the doors were shut at 4 p.m. as authorities attempted to get the state Capitol back to normal working hours.

Wisconsin needs money. Charge them $200 per night.
They are not going to let anymore in,they say!
You're exactly right! No wonder TEA Party protesters or Pro-Life or traditional marriage protesters are assulted time & time again, and yet the cops stand by watching it happen. However any sign of retaliation, and the cops will jump in and arrest the victim for having defended themselves. The image of cops as being conservatives by & large is no longer the case. I realize there are still a minority of cops (just like school teachers) who are conservatives & patriot, but I would be willing to bet that 80% of cops are solidly demoRATs now.
I can't wait for the next time I get a call from the firemen or policemen, asking for donations for one of their charities. I am going to grill them and see if their union or not, and if so, I am going to open up a can of whoop ass on that sorry rep. Fortunately I will be doing that from the safety of my home--hopefully they won't show up later and break into my house.

Recently, I had a very tense discussion with a family member (WI teacher) who is very upset that she may loose $600.00/month. I asked if that was just for health-care, and she replied that is would be health-care and pension contribution combined. I asked what she paid now, and she told me that she currently pays nothing for health-care.
Folks working in the private sector consider themselves lucky to have insurance offered, and to get by for less than $1000.00/month for a family. And pensions dont exist in the private sector
Im supposed to feel sorry for her. I had to remove myself from the room.
Hold tight Walker!
Actually, I think it’s the right move. They should not be allowed to look like martyrs. Letting them stay is still a show of power inasmuch as they’re being “allowed” to stay. That’s no less authoritative than forcing them out. As long as they’re not too fired up, they won’t trash the place. Forcing them out would only draw more busloads of them. They’re looking for an excuse to become violent. Letting them fizzle out on their own steam is much smarter. Other than being a pain in the ass, what harm are they doing? If they have nobody to fight with on site, they’re more likely to go home.
No. Arm yourself. Call them. Document and record all of it. When they no-show, you’re on your own. Self-defense is a beautiful thing.
Maybe not. Maybe the cops have been told to coax, not force them out. That may be an order from the top. Walker is still in good position. No need to let the media paint him as a bully. Letting them stay looks benevolent and paternal, like a dad waiting patiently for his misfit children to come to their senses, chill, and drop the tantrum.
I’m not prepared to assume the cops are out of order because I can see a lot of political advantage in letting the thugs and protesters unwind themselves rather than make them get their backs up and have a riot. The cops (whom I have no love for) may have been directed to tread softly.
Right now the media is barely covering Madison, in part because the protesters look like asses. Go busting heads and the media will be back with the excuse they need to garner sympathy for the protesters and the anti-Walker side. With no coverage, it will mostly collapse for lack of air.

Also, the media not giving Madison much coverage is covering for Obama and his freeze on federal wages and the Dems pulling many collective bargaining rights away from federal public unions.
Can you spell hypocrite at the National level?
Federal employees do not have collective bargaining at all.
How did you refrain from beating her senseless?
I coouldn’t have just left the room. It would have been a case of “Ratsreek has left the building.”
The IBEW represents several thousand TVA employees, and TVA is a federal agency.
They don’t look like kids to me. They look like a combination of 30-something community organizers and unemployed losers hired for the job. The tattoos are obviously the “stick on” temporary type, complete with a black-power fist and some words (perhaps SEIU?) that I couldn’t read.
These people aren’t college students and I’d be really surprised if they were Wisconsin state employees or even residents.
This shows the public, the tax-paying public, that unions are bad public policy. They are set against the community for their own interests. Every police officer who belongs to a union is a suspect and cannot be trusted to put community interests above those of the union. Defund them and reorganize security.
Cell phone and wi-fi jamming. Plus shut off the hardwire network backbone to the building.
