I think you're right on all points. He's been a pretty good leader, he's smart, no doubt about it.

A President Daniels would not spend one moment on the matter of our borderless nation, and he would not drill up one extra barrel of oil from domestic sources.

It would be like Bush only more so.

P.S. Plus, he advertises himself as a big budget cutter but he also refuses to even discuss social issues—so why do I believe anything said by a man who makes no reference to morality or a certainty that our values are worth protecting?? It’s too easy for a man of no values to lie—about fiscal issues, about anything.
