Please post to comment forums or distribute as appropriate. It is important to counter the "Governor Walker is being bought with $43,000 of Koch Brothers support" angle with the real, sick truth. Wisconsin Taxpayer dollars are being used by the teacher's union to buy Democrat legislators and legislation.

I will follow up later with a report on lobbying spending by WEAC and it's owned and collectively-bargained-for health insurance company, WEA Trust.

Rough math puts lobbying spending by the teachers' union at roughly $20,000,000 to $25,000,000 during the past decade in Wisconsin.

From there, I will look at DC spending via lobbyists and purchased and owned Senator Russ Feingold.

Public employee Unions is "THE" millstone round the democrats necks..
Not abortion, spending habits, socialism, or corruption..

This point is the weakest point in the democrat lineup.. and they will do anything, everything to protect it..
Its the easiest boondoggle to highlight and the hardest to protect..

ALL republican candidates need to hit this "MOLE" like it had bubonic plague..
Any smart democrat will be rushing like in a Chinese Fire Drill to answer any charges..
"IT IS THE WEAK LINK, THE MOST TEMPTING BAIT, THE DEMOCRAT RAT POISON"..

It would be a limit to free speech but I almost feel like unions should not be able to contribute to politicians.

But then, perhaps only individuals should be allowed to contribute but contribute as much as they want. And all contributions should be fully and very publicly disclosed.

Wisconsing received over 800 million dollars from Obama's Stash.....errrr.....I mean Stimulus Funds.

Almost 700 million went to Unions. How much of that do you think ended up back in DemocRAT campaign funds?

Thanks for posting this. I’ve gotten in several heated debates online and just keep bombarding them with facts. I’m in a “pile on” kind of mood and this will only help.

In addition to the state education unions, the NEA spends a tidy sum as well.

“It would be a limit to free speech but I almost feel like unions should not be able to contribute to politicians.”

Not as long as union membership is MANDATORY!

When I first learned physycs in jr. high our science teacher admonished us young skulls full of mush of the first rule, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH! If only the science teachers among the Madison mob would instill this fact of life into their colleagues.

Sickening. Pathetic. These thugs are without a conscience. The NEA and its members are psychopaths. These unionistas have no love of America. They hate personal accountability. They aren’t “professionals”. They are pimps to their labor bosses and to their own self-centered lust for money. Constantly they use “the children” as their pawns for unquestioned further funding of their exorbitant salaries, benefits and pensions. They hate America. They hate hard work. They hate you. I think the fat-slob african-American teacher who beat up the 70+ year old caucasian couple in a mall and was dragged off them by the elementary students (an earlier post today) personifies all of them. THUGS!

They probably spend even more protecting immoral and/or incompetent teachers from being fired.
