The North Texas Freepers are once again hosting this years TCM shoot.
Our thoughts are that very early in October would be a good time of the year for this gathering.
We welcome your input and questions.
mylife is providing the range, I'll be hosting the party after in Fort Worth.
Glad to hear that the knee is improved and that you have a line on employment in the area.
Look forward to seeing you at the shoot when we get a date in place.
Should you get that job and move to the are dont hesitate to contact me anytime. We can go shooting any weekend. I have the key!
It was awfully hard to not laugh wasn’t it?
Will do, thanks.
Will do, thanks.
Holy ****! there is a tsunami headed our way!
3/11/10 headed for hawaii
8.9 earthquake off japan.
I’d be in the mountains by now if I lived in Hi.
We’ll never see Obamas BC now! whoosh...
(Firing a large automatic gun) Boom Boom - Boom Boom
Deep in the heart of texas.
Not for me. I chuckled every time Mr. Show Off missed, and lost it when Charlie offered him his gun.
6th annual TCMS Range report: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
It was a beautiful day today , so I decided to go to the cotton gin for lunch and then to the river to test out my new C93 rifle and some new thermold AR15 mags.
Just before I left my right arm went wonky.
Wierd and tingly and just didnt seem right. I did some motion exercises and seemed to have the full range of motion.
Weird.
Then the doorbell rang and it was my friend Gina.
I said you hungry? She said yeah, so I said lets go to lunch.
Good News:
We made the roadtrip to crandall and I am pleased to report the food is as good as ever, Big yeast rolls, cornbread and 3 sides with your entree... I had chicken fried steak, she had chicken fried chicken.
We got the foot high coconut cream pie to take home with our substantial leftovers
We then made the short drive to the range.
Mickey has done some work on the access gate and has redone the roads with white rock.
Shooting tables were adequate and he has placed out many new 55 gal trash barrels
The 400 yard range is sporting about 8 brand international orange steel gongs.
Bad news:
The C93 would not function. I got a few round off but never in succession, and the rifle failed to eject.
When it did fire it was a tack driver.
Back in the case with it.
The new Thermold mags worked great in the AR 15.
We headed back to town and I dropped Gina off then went to Ammo depot to see what could be done with the gun.
As luck would have it Jeff The gunsmith was there and he looked over the gun, there was an issue with the bolt carrier and he needed specialty tools which he did not have with him to fix it.
Mickey had two more and told me I could swap with one.
So I picked out the best one and test fired it.
It worked flawlessly!
The Ugly:
I went to fill out the paper work and found I could not write my name.
I was stunned. I tried harder and my writing got progressively better, but I had to fill out the form 3 times before I got it right.
I seem to be doing much better now that I am home.
I will make an appointment with the Doc for next week.
You definitely want to see a doctor, hopefully its nothing too important
Get to a DR forthwith! Posthaste!
Get to the doctor pronto. Your arm going wonky & not being able to write could be a sign of a stroke. Or just an issue with your muscles ~ either way don’t wait to see the doc. Please keep us updated.
Glad to hear about the range improvements.
I think its just a pinched nerve.
This stuff always happens on the weekend.
Stroke dude.
I had one and the biggest indicator was I couldn’t write but could do other things with my hand as it is mental not physical.
Are you able to speak normally?
The really bad news is you need to see a doc but it is too late for the meds that can “fix” it.
I used to know a Gina, she damned near killed me, I have a big scar from her...
You need to see a Doctor, NOW/today, dude... Otherwise we may have to have a mylifememorialshoot...comprende? You may have suffered a small stroke... deadly serious stuff... Prayers up brotherman!
I seem to be fine in all other regards and the penmanship is getting better the more I try it.
My arm is still “TINGLY”
I tell ya it freaked me out when I couldn’t write.
I think the time has passed to be able to do anything about it.
It was 9:30 when it happened and I didnt notice the writing ting till about 5:00
Go to the ER NOW!
Not gonna do it John.
My writing is getting better. If it was a stroke the time has long passed in which to do something about it.
It feels like a nerve thing to me.
I dont care to lose any of the few friends I have...
Just get yerself looked at, OK?
