NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Drivers who have filled up their car lately have probably experienced sticker shock at the pump. Gas prices keep going up.
"It's just getting higher and higher," said Nashville driver Robert Reynolds. "It's getting outrageous."
"It's ridiculous we have to pay this much for gas," said Tracy Nolan, another driver.
People pulling up to the pump this week are likely to be paying 4 cents more for gas compared to last week.
The average price for a gallon of unleaded in Nashville is $3.04 cents. Economists are predicting a surge in gas prices because of instability in the Middle East. There are some who say drivers could be paying $5 a gallon for gas by late summer.

Obama and Interior Dept held in contempt

nothing to see here move along it’s Bushes fault...
“The GOP controlled both the house and senate along with the white house for 6 years. Yet nothing was done about drilling for oil in our own country.”
A clue - it begins with an “R”, and ends with a “INO”. RINOs are members of an Endangered Species.
The way things are going $5 a gallon may seem very cheap.
I’m thinking about a horse.
Guess we won’t go on vacation this summer. We’ll be home tending the garden for food this winter.
All politics has an economic base pushing for it. Ergo, economic interests wanting to scr## you and me, are behind the Mideast instability.
Obama won’t stop until we are all sitting in our homes with no jobs and then he will seemingly save us with global order and currency.
Of course, it’s another way Obummer can ruin America.
The Southern Gulf Coast States need to be making preparations for a political battle with the Feds over their Gulf Oil regulations and stuff.
IF gas prices go high the field should be rigged in our favor.
But it starts in the southern Gulf Coast States, as well as Alaska.
“Oh, puleez. The price of gas goes up for no other reason than its a Monday.”
It was cloudy here to, that could be why.
Republicans should be beating the Democrats up 24/7 on this issue.
But ONCE AGAIN, they are not.
It’s okay - Obama is working hard to raise gas taxes and cut domestic supply.
It will make most of the people whining about high gas prices cheer and they’ll vote for him in 2012.
So what do you want me to say?
I’m no cheerleader for them but who can keep up with Obama’s contempt? They are spineless and need the tea party to give them courage away from their PC but Obama is a trainwreck.
I will hold them accountable for not moving in the judiciary committee on articles of impeachment.
It did this week in CA.
“My only position is that if you are riding a bike to save money it isnt happening.”
I know. Been riding 25 years. However, people forget to add the mileage costs of a vehicle, which run about 50 cents a mile for depreciation, tires, maintenance, etc. Only a real inexpensive bike a person is willing to ride every day at least 9 months a year ever pays off. That said, imagine gas lines circa 1970’s. Gas mileage made sense then. Of course, I ride for fun. Money is never a factor.
The Concourse is now around $16,000 itself. I am stunned by the price of bikes these days. I remember when $4,500 would get a great bike. Now, it takes $7,700 to even get the cheapest of bikes like the Versys.
I don’t think I want to ride my Venture on a $45 dollar tire, and I know I don’t want to change it myself even if I wasn’t 68 years old. LOL.
