Yes, Qadaffi stinks—both literally and figuratively.

Gaddafi is reportedly on his way to Venezuela.

May not be such a good move for Chavez, as Venezuelans may get the idea they, too, should run their dictator out of the country.

6:26pm: Further reports of live ammunition being used on protesters in Tripoli, with lots of tweets saying security forces are again driving cars around the city, shooting at everyone and everything.

Ahmed Elgazir, a human rights researcher, told Al Jazeera that Libya News Centre, an organisation based in Geneva, had received a call for help from a woman “witnessing the massacre” in progress, who called on a satellite phone after landlines were cut.

6:14pm: Our TV news channel shows scenes of jubilant protesters in Benghazi.

5:50pm: Geneva-based Libyan News Network reports phones cut in Tripoli, amid “massacre” in Green Square. More details being sought.

What’s the world coming to.

Freepers hanging on to the words of Al Jazeera...

Though reporting from the region they do provide coverage. Quite professional coverage as well. I think a lot of both the front and backroom staff there were acquired from BBC World.

6:34pm: Reuters reports British foreign secretary William Hague says Gaddafi “may be on his way to Venezuela”. On the sidelines of the EU crisis talks, he reportedly said:

You asked me earlier about whether Colonel Gaddafi is in Venezuela - I have no information that says he is, but I have seen some information that suggests he is on his way there at the moment.

6:30pm: Planes of the Libyan Air Force reportedly opening fire on protesters in central Tripoli. No way to confirm this currently - but we are getting many reports of chaos on the streets of the capital.

If you look close at the photo on drudgereport, Gaddafi’s oil wealth appears to have gotten him a nose from the same doctor who treated Michael Jackson.
BTW, Gaddafi has been barking mad for several years now, or he’d have made a speech himself last night. So if he’s left Libya, he’s likely in a bed with rails, not a hammock with a daiquiri.

What’s the world coming to.

Laughing nervously, while posting this. American media, formerly the standard all other media was judged, is now running to the lowest peg on the ladder, and digging a hole to hide the truth in, except for some talk radio and FR. The once formerly great American media has become Pravda, all day, all the time ... mho

Reporter on phone from Caracas, VZ says that, per Venezualan government official, Qaddafi has not landed nor on his way to Venezuela.

It seems the British Foreign Minister is the one behind the rumor that Qaddafi is on his way to Venezuela.
