Tea Party Movement Brings in 15,000 Protesters to Madison With 24 Hour Notice Embarrassing Left

THOUSANDS of Tea Party Patriots turned out today in Madison, Wisconsin, in support of Republican Governor Scott Walker and his plans to correct the state’s financial future. It was an amazing turnout considering the Saturday rally was only announced on Friday morning. Oh… And we paid our own way.

The tea party patriots filled the state capital grounds from the steps to the street over 100 yards back. There were so many Walker supporters there that you couldn’t here the speakers from the stage in the back of the crowd.

The AP today estimated that 70,000 protesters turned out in Madison today. If that number is accurate then at least 15,000 were Walker supporters.

This was a huge embarrassment to the left.

So, 50,000 to 15,000? I could be wrong, but I’m doubting that the obammunists will be very embarrassed by that.

Of course, 15,000 is pretty encouraging.

Wonderful. Just wonderful. Still wondering where the fire marshall is, with the squatters overwhelming the interior of a landmark building like the state capital. Any word on that being allowed to continue?????

I was really opposed to the Tea Party going. Thought it would distract from the anarchist union self destructing for all to see all by themselves with no help from us.
Tuned out it was fine.

"... 15,000? I could be wrong, but I’m doubting that the obammunists will be very embarrassed by that."

This is MADISON WISCONSIN!

15,000 conservative tea-partiers in Madtown is incredible!

This is like having a dozen conservatives turn out in San Francisco!!!

The problem that the tea party faces regarding turnout is the reality that they are opposing a mob who gets to protest with the day off with pay, riding in with the day off on a free bus paid for by political apparatus, supported by a sympathetic media.

The beauty of the situation is that those opposing the unions loose a day at work, maybe their job... And get to pay those they oppose while their children who were not bussed in get to run wild while the schools are shut down and papa went away.

Tis is a no win. The state shall ride this pig off the cliff.

We all see the edge, and it is too late.

All I’ve heard is that the Capitol building was full of trash, garbage, filthy restrooms, and some minor damage from the union protests. I guess their SEIU brothers didn’t mind cleaning up after the pigs. Monday is a state furlough day but freezing rain may keep the crowd down. The Assembly convenes on Tuesday and there will be some voting going on...

sadly us people with JOBS are gonna have to speak up more like this.
normally the left is able to out gun conservatives when it comes to protesting. Seeing as the collage student/hippie/professional activist crowd has nothing better to do during a avg work day.

if conservatives dont want to get steamrolled...we are gonna have to get out of our daily rut of work/kids and go protest during the ....egads!!...daytime.

use a vac /sick day whatever...lol

Great pics, but WHY was there virtually no TV coverage of the pro-Gov. Walker ralliers? Even Fox News spent maybe 60 seconds on the Patriots countering the union goons. Grr!!

I think they will be embarrassed.

The pro-communionist protesters had the full weight of the DNC and Organizing for America and their entire fleet of rent-a-mob/bus-em-in “demonstrators.” And it had been planned for months.

The Tea Party organized a grassroots counter-protest and brought in 15,000, which is astounding.

But the point is, the Tea-Party backed governor is kicking Obammie the Commie’s runty commie ass and the ass of his entire machine.

WE ARE WINNING.

And THAT is why they are embarrassed.

The governor has spoken. Nothing changes, they might as well go to Columbus. I look forward to their weary asses in Nashville. Let them explain why children have no incentive to learn.

Monday is a state furlough day

...I've been wondering how many of the protesters will show up on their OFFICIAL DAY OFF. Will they give up a holiday to protest?

From some of the comments at the link, it's hard to tell how many Tea Partiers showed up (on short notice).

What was clear is that a couple of pro-union posters wanted to somehow link the valiant efforts of Unions with thwarting the evil, corrupt Corporation's desires to exploit workers.

I guess the state of WI is a corporation then, and it's representatives evil capitalists (excepting those 14 democrat senators, of course). What is WI stock trading at?

Fortunately, a few rebutted with the 2010 election results where it was demonstrated the People will ultimately carry the day, not the Unions.

This event will go Cairo over America as publically pampered employees throughout the Union (pun intended) come face-to-face with budget reality. I can't wait 'till California goes Postal (again, pun intended). $3 billion deficit? Phffft! Try $25 Billion, pikers. This is where the sh*t will hit the fan. WI is a mere warm-up. Police and firefighters least hardest hit will be a quaint memory.

You know, you can buy a lot of sh*t with $25 Billion. When you owe that much, you did just that- bought a lot of sh*t. Look for the Union Label.
