LITTLE ROCK – (AP/The Blaze) – A high school teacher in Little Rock was placed on paid administrative leave Friday after school officials learned she pleaded guilty in November to a prostitution charge.
“I was scared more than anything else because I was thinking of my son,” Solona Islam recalled following her arrest last October. “If I do go to jail, what am I supposed to do?”
Islam says her financial struggles with credit card debt and caring for her 18-month-old son led her to make a poor decision. She has a masters degree and is working on a Ph.D.

10 hours a week can bring in $800-1,000 a month.
Along with the regular job, a person should be able to make it without selling body and soul...and putting everything you’ve accomplished so far at risk.
But “you can’t fix stupid.”
She should just show up, sans makeup, like she is in the photo, and she’ll beat the rap.
Just think how it was less then 100 years ago....

Well, I certainly can’t defend this woman’s behavior. Morals aside, her judgment is at the least, questionable. She’s far from the only person to ever get behind on their bills, and most people don’t go hooking to catch up.
Now, *IF* the bust went down as the reporters and Islam claim in the video clip, it sounds like there was entrapment. The undercover supposedly laid (no pun intended!) out the money, and then asked for sex during a massage. I’m skeptical it really went down (again, no pun intended!) that way, however.

So she was moonlighting as a masseuse and while thus employed got propositioned by an, ahem, dick... she ought to have refused, even stopped the massage and had a bouncer kick him out. Still this is hardly the most serious crime in the world.
