February 18, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In a historic vote Friday afternoon, the US House voted to strike all federal funding for the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Every year the abortion giant receives hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer funding.
The congressional body voted 240-185 in favor of the amendment, introduced by Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), to the 2011 Federal Spending Bill.
Immediately after the vote Rep. Pence released a statement saying: This afternoons vote is a victory for taxpayers and a victory for life. By banning federal funding to Planned Parenthood, Congress has taken a stand for millions of Americans who believe their tax dollars should not be used to subsidize the largest abortion provider in America.

So, now what happens? Does it have to go to the Senate, and then obama? Does this actually have a chance of passing, for real?? Praise the Lord if it does!!!
The fact that Planned Parenthood not only left minor girls trapped in prostitution, but encouraged it, shows an incredible lack of humanity on their part. What goes on behind the windowless offices of Planned Parenthood, as Live Actions videos show, is both saddening and shocking, but the fact that it has often been done with taxpayer dollars is indefensible.
Deserves repeating.
Let the Good News roll!
its genocide
Praise The Lord Jesus!!! We perhaps need prayer for the Senate!
Does this actually have a chance of passing, for real?Even if it doesn't pass right now, the fact that the GOP is showing some GUTS is a great thing.
If the Senate+Obama blocks this, we'll get it done in 2013.
Yesssss!
I look forward to Mike Pence being my next governor!
Republicans deprive the unborn the right to die....film at 11!!
The hits just keep on coming.
Most of the news is pretty grim out there, but this is a small ray of sunshine. ;-)

Poor Nancy! She must be close to a breakdown, on top of losing all funding on Obamacare.
This is to defund for the current fiscal year so it must pass the Senate and both will have to override the certain obama veto.
The good news is for the new fiscal year if the House doesn’t appropriate the funds then there are no funds. The House must approve. Nothing zero or the senate can do about it.
As you can see, this as a symbolic vote that does nothing this fiscal year, but if the House sticks with this vote for next year’s funding it is over for PP.
Let’s just hope this is the beginning of a tsunami of good news, that continues on through the election of a Conservative President and Senate in 2012 and the careful rebuilding of our Republic during the subsequent years.
The politician who makes it legal for that doctor to kill that baby also commits murder.
And, the voter who votes for the politician who makes it legal for that doctor to kill that baby, likewise, commits murder.
Please, everyone, send Mike Pence a Thank-You card! Way to go, Mike!
