Smart politics, both for her own sake and for the partys sake, from todays Q&A on Long Island. Even lefties like Jonathan Capehart are praising her for her answer. The reason youre seeing so many prominent Republicans pressed on Birtherism the past few days is because of this PPP poll from Tuesday claiming that a clear majority of the partys primary voters (51 percent) dont think Obama was born in the U.S. Weigels read on that is correct, I think: To some extent the issues become a proxy for ideology, with more conservative voters who are already deeply suspicious of The Ones intentions more likely to believe that he was born abroad. The peril for Palin in that poll is that her favorables were unusually high among Birthers at 83 percent (almost 20 points more than Huckabee), which stands to reason under Weigels theory since shes perceived as the most conservative candidate in the race. Hence the need today to set the record straight about her own views and to steer Birthers among the base away from this issue. She did a nice job, much clearer than she was when she addressed this subject once before. And shes quite right, needless to say, about the issue being a distraction. Even if youre inclined to believe that theres funny business surrounding The Ones long-form birth certificate, theres virtually no way to prove it. His file will stay closed as long as he wants it closed, so absent a confession from the Hawaii records department that its all a big conspiracy, youre pumping a dry well. Like Palin says, better to focus on the economy (and, if youre feeling bold, Obamas inexcusable gutlessness on entitlements) than to keep barking up this tree.

You're wrong Ace, I am interpreting what all 3 said. I have determined there's not a dime's worth of difference in their statements.
That's my humble opinion and I don't need the MSM (left, right, or center) interpretation of what I read and saw (Video).
NOTE:
Bachmann did have a deer in the headlights stare for a few seconds in the video I saw while she was attempting to conjure up a politically correct answer to the question.
You ,as usual, are trying to make a mountain out of a *pissant hill* in your interpretation that Palin threw the *Birthers* under the bus.
No sale little Buckaroo.
I was just taking issue with what I thought was a slam on Sarah Palin.
Who would it have benefited, if she had said, yes I have questions about his citizenship?
In fact the demonization of anybody that suggests that Obama was not born here, has been so cleverly successful, what can I say.
I am very sure that Sarah Palin KNOWS as I do that Obama is NOT a Christian! Just as Franklin Graham and I know this, However I do not know what her opinion on his birth actually is?
I am suspicious about his citizenship. Seems that the other side has won on this one.
Too many people (mostly leftists), think that the individual defines whether or not he is a Christian.
This designation is not human defined, and especially not SELF defined.
I could list the reasons, starting with infanticide, but also just the removal of Christ/God from the public square, classroom etc, numerous to many to mention here. And a vote for Democrat would be a vote against God.
Yes God has to draw a person to himself,so if a person has a real genuine desire to invite Jesus in to their life, that is the evidence right there that God has drawn him to himself.
The evidence is overwhelming that Obama has no such desire in his heart. Yes the desire of wanting Christ in our life is planted their by God.

Palin and Bachmann are trying to avoid the issue because they are trying to run for President or might be running. However, it didn’t go down well with me the answers.
“BO/BS has not proven he is a natural born citizen per the requirement in Article 2 Section 1 of the Constitution and therefore is Unconstitutionally occupying the Oval Office. Politicians have obfuscated their responsibility to defend the Constitution by calling out BO/BS. Instead they let him ignore the Constitution with impunity. Those are facts, not theory.”
After reading on the issue..I agree there is Obama has questions to answer on his eligibility. So I agree.
Spaulding, do you ever get tired of lying?
“Sarah now parts company with all Senators in April of 2008, every one of whom signed Senate Resolution 511...”
As has been pointed out to you many times, that resolution involved those born overseas, not in the USA. But like too many birthers, you lie blatantly in an attempt to deceive others...
You’re right, and she’s right.
Focus on winning the White House, not getting Biden as president.
Yeah. I don’t want any more constitution breaking presidential candidates. McCain is to blame for not getting this cleared up before and now it sounds like Palin is going to let it happen again if we nominate her. No thanks. The constitution matters.

Maybe in your mind.
When a Federal Prosecutor or Supreme Court Justice makes a determination that Obama is unlawfully in the office of President...then you will have a point.
Until then, you don’t have anything. Period.
