Basically the same answer Palin gave. Wonder if they compare notes. And I wonder if the venom tossed at SP on another thread will also be thrown at MB.

When will someone respond to this challenge properly, and answer that 0bama’s history has more holes than swiss cheese?
The bc is just the first document on a long, long list of inaccessible documents.

Well...there goes the perception of her strength and integrity. And, I rather liked her, too.
Overlooking what may well be one of the greatest frauds ever perpetrated on the American people is no way to win hearts and minds among the populace.

"it's not for me to state" whether the president is or is not an American citizen. That's not the question. The question is whether or not provisions in the Constitution should be enforced. If a candidate doesn't have the guts to say they should be enforced, (s)he won't get my vote. Ever.

I’m really pissed at Palin and Bachmann weasling out on this birther issue.
What are they gonna do if and when their states pass Constitutional eligibility requirements directed at Obama showing proof of citizenship?
Join the liberals in condemning it?

It's a trap for any presidential candidate to actively campaign on this subject. The press will jump all over it. Let them focus on the economy and national defense. There are many individuals and groups that can pursue the illegal alien issue in the courts.

She should take the same stand as Sarah. As Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates they shouldn’t delve into this unless they have some incredible lead.
The matter is best handled by the houses, Justice and the states.

A recent Ulsterman report on the Insider reported a meeting in the WH, presided over by Valerie Jarrett, which reveals why all the MSM are now peddling the the birth and Muslim issue. They are doing so to try and counteract the state initiatives to require Obama to prove up his qualifications to run in 2012. If a candidate says they do not believe he is a NBC, they are going to play the race card against the candidate or any state that requires proof of eligibility. Go back and review the Insiders account. It is very revealing. The response that needs to be made by a candidate to the MSM ought to go something like this. “Listen, Obama has publicly stated he was born in Hawaii. He better be right on that score because I am going to hold him personally accountable for his word being true. Since I have no way of knowing for certain where he was born, I will hold him to his word and if it should turn out not to be true I and the American people are going to be his biggest nightmare.”

At last count there were 148 replies at the end of the CNN statement. I went down the list rapidly reading some of it. There were but few, very few brave souls who decided to take a somewhat lukewarm defense of Michelle Bachmann. What must be mentioned and I warn any Freeper who decides to read some of the remarks is the vitriol and vituperation against Michelle Bachmann.
If they were of the canine species they would be rabid. I know what their game is. It is along the lines of Orwell's thought crime. Not merely to refuse to come out and say the most assertive birthers might be right, but to defend their right to say it.
Once again I repeat that the main repository of information is the President himself. He did say that he saw his birth certificate by chance. Surely his mother must have mentioned something about it. Granted he must have full rights as any citizen for some privacy in the matter. It may not be public spirited to deny direct reference to his birth. This is the long form certificate, or a delayed registration of birth.
Again the definition of a "natural born citizen" needs clarification. I cannot believe the framers of the Constitution would wish a foreign born non-citizen father to be able to claim an offspring as "natural born citizen".
