The student government voted in support of endorsing a campus-wide student walkout in opposition of the proposed budget repair bill during their meeting Wednesday evening.

The Associated Students of Madison voted in favor of supporting the walkout, which encourages University of Wisconsin students to abstain from attending classes on Thursday as part of the rallies taking place in response to Gov. Scott Walker’s proposal.

More bs from the campus commies... ASM has socialist tendencies (I know, the CR's attempted to take it over when I went there and we failed)

Perhaps they should take a look at the last jobs report...down 410000 today. Let them read that and then give them the option, stay in class or join the unemployed as you are GONE.

Everyone needs a good dose of reality in the US, top to bottom. The free ride express has been derailed (I hope).

Pay ten’s of thousands for an “education” and walkout.

Morons.

But I guess that’s the mentality of people living off other people’s money - whether its the taxpayer’s or daddy’s.

Bwahhhaa haaa haaa! So are we suppose to care? They, or more likely, their parents are paying for them to attend, so how are they hurting anybody but themselves by not attending classes?

Agree. Morons. Academia has become haven of the ‘60s drop-outs like little Billie Ayers and his squeeze, Dorn. Leftists, all.

This is the equivalent of saying, “I'm really going to teach my doctor a lesson, I'm going to refuse to take these expensive pills that he prescribed and I paid for.”

That struck home today.

My wife’s daughter got her tax refund the other day. That opened my eye a bit as she chooses to be part time employed because a full time job interferes with her life style. Then it dawned on me, she and her equally underemployed husband qualify for the earned income credit (free welfare). Why get a better job? Although not living here, my wife pays her medical insurance through her work(till 27 of course now under national mandate) and her car insurance, car repairs, clothing, some of the rent etc. I know, my wife is an enabler but the point is there is no desire to better one’s self while someone else or the government is carrying them.

Typical Leftist tantrums. Typical of the minority Leftist’s to create a scene. It’s really all they have. They shouldn’t win anything with such childsplay, but the adults keep giving in, so they continue.

Damned frustrating.

Those students are taking a big risk. Missing out of a full day of instruction in Ethnic Studies or Womyn’s Studies could seriously crush their future job prospects.

I would say tell the students that nothing is free. You want to back the teachers we will make up the difference in tuition.

Someone needs to point out to these economic geniuses that it’s THEM these budget cuts are trying to protect! If we keep borrowing to pay today’s bills, THEY are the ones who are going to have to pay off the note. And with Obama selling us down the river, they’ll be lucky to get a job slinging burgers, let alone making enough to pay for the left’s profligate follies.

The beer distributors will need to make extra deliveries today in Wisconsin.

The number of beer drinkers far outnumber the number of socialist students.

How much more could Governor Walker get trimmed from the bloated budget if he could get these nimrods to make their walkout permanent?
