Precious metals...and Sarah Palin? Howard Ruff’s top-performing letter endorses both

Howard Ruff rolls on — and makes it look easier and easier.

These literally are “the golden years” for the octogenarian veteran gold bug, despite recently being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

These literally are “the golden years” for the octogenarian veteran gold bug, despite recently being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

His Ruff Times letter continues to be the top performer of the 180-plus services monitored by the Hulbert Financial Digest. Over past 12 months through January, Ruff Times is up 85.2% by Hulbert Financial Digest count, versus 23.93% for the dividend-reinvested Wilshire 5000 Total Stock Market Index.

Over the past three years, the letter is up 16.28% annualized versus 0.86% annualized for the total return Wilshire 5000. This is despite his being very badly hit in the Crash of 2008, along with other hard-money letters.

--snip--

Still, Ruff hasn’t lost his taste for bold speculation. His latest issue contains a forceful endorsement of Sarah Palin — arguing “she has fully captured the spirit of Ronald Reagan.” (Ruff was a major backer).

Of fellow Mormon Mitt Romney, Ruff says after careful consideration: “I like him, I just don’t trust him.”

I have witnessed an epiphany moment!

The signs that Sarah Palin is more than a conservative pundant have been picked up by many of us. She is involved in a strategy to win the presidency. Her negatives continue fall by the wayside and do not hold her back. We continue to weigh the negatives, but cannot ignore the signs.

If anything, we cannot afford to let Zer0 have one more term. The vacuum of his (and the Hildebeast’s) incompetancy has caused the Middle East to fall like dominos. If Sarah Palin wins the primary, we will know that her skills in strategy will be apparant. It is strategy that makes the US a winner in the world.

We cannot fail, whoever is our nominee.

IMO, Sarah's greatest strength is her authenticity. This is the prime characteristic she shares with Reagan. Just as with Reagan, you always know what Palin stands for - like Maggie Thatcher,"the lady's not for turning."

When Reagan left us, I truly believed that I would never again see so direct and honest a figure in our politics. I am so glad to be wrong!

If you look at the candidates that she endorsed in the last election, I think you'll find they share the same characteristic - they were all people whose positions were unaffected by either polls or the media.

The future is looking a lot more hopeful as a result!

“Well, I think she does”

Me too. Judgment has a lot to do with insight that comes from life experience. Cloistered “intellectuals” like Woodrow Wilson and Obama have been disastrous presidents.

What’s wrong with Huckleberry, anyway? I thought he out-shined everybody during the Repub primary in 2008.

Good on you.

Before you know it, you’re gonna find yourself immune to the snot gobbling mouth breeders who’re constantly trying to brow beat us all into voting for yet another intellectually inbred RINO “because he/she’s electable”.

Compromise got us here. Compromise will only dig us deeper into this hell hole.

Sarah hunts with precious metals: copper, lead, and brass.

zero is not "brilliant".....he is a puppet with vapid ideas and no critical thinking of his own.....he's a syncophant...listen to him and you can see when he's on his own, he says NOTHING at all really....

of course maybe what passes for being a "brilliant" politician is having the DBM and the Sorus money machine protecting you...

I agree fully.

I think his IQ is about 90 or so. He is a tool, and nothing more.
