An Obama administration official on Wednesday confirmed that four states -- including Florida, Tennessee and Ohio -- have been granted waivers from the regulatory requirements of the national health care law.
Steve Larsen, director of the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO) at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, confirmed the news under questioning from Rep. Cliff Stearns at an oversight hearing for the House Energy and Commerce committee.

How can that be constitutional?
And under the American principle of equality under the law, every state should get such a waiver. Better make certain your attorney general files those papers.
Can’t the admin. admit that Obamacare was a giagantic mistake? We will go through a lot of ‘hell’ for nothing.
Because some pigs are more equal than others. In this case, important swing states.
The states that don’t matter get to keep Obamacare.
“...While he said there was also a fourth state that was granted a waiver, he could not recall off the top of his head which state.”
The wonders never cease with these people...
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Let's see. She said get milk, eggs, bread, and... ah jeez, I can't remember the fourth thing.
There needs to be a lawsuit about the waivers.
Admit it’s a mistake??? LMAO!
This is a guy who just said oil is the energy of the past, and is affirmatively shutting down our oil production. Did you see they are going to revoke the Northwest shale oil permits?! Shale - the hope for the future!
No they aren’t going to admit any “mistakes”. It’s deliberate
None of it is Constitutional.
Where is my damn waiver!
This could be a way to end the overbearing governmental imposition of Obama-Kare in a way that will allow Obama to “not lose face”.
Just grant waivers to every state and every individual in the country.
That way congress will not have to fight to overthrow the program, Obama will still have his legacy legislative accomplishment and the other 310 million of us will regain our freedom of choice.
That’s a Win-Win as the wonks like to say.
Seems to me this is where “equal protection” should kick in.
Thank You!
doesn’t this bolster the law-suit ?
Probably corn, as in the Cornhusker Compromise. Perhaps Nebraska is the fourth state?
-PJ
Uh? So my emergency only coverage which is prohibited by 0bamacare, has a waiver? Uh?
“How can that be constitutional?”
The whole thing is unconstitutional so anything that is done under the auspices of Obamacare is unconstitutional.
Just an observation but if 3-4 states are opting out and 700 odd business and unions are getting waivers just exactly who is going to be left to actually be in Obamacare?
