On this day in history President Lyndon Baines Johnson had a conversation about the Vietnam War with former presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower and Harry S. Truman. On Tuesday former President Jimmy Carter visited the museum named after LBJ to discuss his new book, "White House Diary, and the situation in Egypt.
During his talk, Mr. Carter said he supported President Obama's handling of the Egyptian uprising but said he's still worried about the prospects for peace in the Middle East.
What's gonna happen now I don't know. But, as you all realize the effort by the United Sates to bring peace between Israel and its neighbors is completely at a stalemate. Nothing is happening. And, That's not an exaggeration. It's completely dead in the water, said Mr. Carter.
At today's White House news conference, President Obama also spent a lot of time talking about the Middle East. He blasted Iran for threatening the lives of demonstrators.
The President urged Middle Eastern countries to follow Egypt's recent example when it comes to responding to anti-government protests.
Carter was the 39th president of the United States from 1977 to 1981. Mr. Carter is perhaps best known for negotiating the Camp David Accords and subsequent peace treaty between Egypt and Israel.
The former president left shortly after his speech in Austin.

Boy, that came out of left field. Who saw that coming?
No, he's best known for double-digit inflation, interest rates in the 20s, losing Iran to the mullahs and malaise.

Mr. Carter is perhaps best known for negotiating the Camp David Accords and subsequent peace treaty between Egypt and Israel.Which likely led to Anwar Sadat's assassination.
I wonder what Jimmah thinks about the loud voices involved in this revolution who are saying that the Camp David Accords are dead, because the Egyptian PEOPLE were not a party to the agreement.

Oh Well, now what exactly do we get when 2 of the WORST PRESIDENTS get together and agree on something that is VITALLY IMPORTANT TO THE COUNTRY NATIONAL INTEREST???
My gut feeling is that its a conspiracy of EVIL to finally send the USA down the toilet.
But then again I have been wrong before but not very often.
