The news from CBS about correspondent Lara Logan’s assault in Egypt is awful beyond words.
At a time like this, we all feel helpless. And angry. The perpetrators, anonymous men in an angry mob, may never see justice.
Perhaps we can channel that frustration and anger towards righting a wrong closer to home. To some other outrage… say… the reaction to Logan’s assault from a fellow at the NYU Center for Law and Security, Nir Rosen.

Well I guess she knows trouble. But still it was an outrages crime!!
Women are treated like crap over there AND HERE! Right here in Phoenix the so-called *father* of a young girl ran her over because she was becoming “too westernized”. Poor girl died. We can’t exist with these people and don’t ANYONE tell me there is such a thing as a “moderate muslim”.
This shows that freedom, democracy and self-determination are completely wasted on some elements of humanity. Apparently the only way to keep the Egyptian masses in check is through firm leadership, the kind that they have just disposed of. This does not promise good things for Egypt’s future. The fact that apparently no investigation takes place, shows the breakdown of law enforcement capability structures.
Mob violence is a strange thing, and it happens everywhere in the world. A bit strange though that individuals who claim to stand up for freedom and dignity take these sickening liberties. I wonder what the reaction, the uproar would be if a muslim reporter were to fall victim of a crime like this.

But the reports are that Logan was the victim of a “brutal sexual assault.”
Its not mere sexual assault, its “brutal”
Now what is brutal sexual assault in the liberal fascist lexicon. I have no idea.
It could be gang rape, it could be sodomy, it could be just about anything I guess. What sexual assault is not brutal?
In any event it was reported as “brutal,” sans details to protect the image of LSM Muslim civilized memes.The fact that she was not likely observed during her temporary abduction means that we will never know, unless we are told by Logan herself.”Brutal” is a CYA term to cover a wide variety of more than just sexual assault, should the true facts ever come out. She is in the hospital, which means that she suffered bodily trauma from the rape, or the beating, or both.In America the majority of rape victims are in the emergency room for a matter of hours and go home
without being admitted.
My conclusion is that something truly nasty happened to Logan.Maybe Robbin has the general idea, but not the true fact.She also may have possibly had her sexaul organs mutilated by knife or razor,which is a common occurance among rape victims in the ME. Many bleed out and die.
Wiki reports that Logan is married to a government military contractor ( un-named) from Houston, and the two have a child together.The mind boggles why she was even there in a crowd that clearly was unsafe for a Western woman to be in.Her security was useless? Logan surely did not look like a happy camper in photographs taken moments before her abduction, as if she knew that it was coming.
Hey,accordig t Wiki, Logans husband is a military contractor for the federal givernment. Maybe he is hooked up to some people who owe him a few favors.I bet there are a few Egyyptian women who can ID the perps, they rescued Logan.

I, too, find jokes about such things offensive.
But…
Although I won’t say she “deserved it”, consider for a moment:
A flashy, liberal-minded Western female wades into a throng of worked-up, fundamentalist, frenzied Muslim males. It is well-known what their attitudes towards “Western women” certainly must be.
Does she have the arrogance to believe that because she is a “reporter” that that fact is going to change anything about their behavior?
Is she so oblivious to such truths that she believes she can act as a Western woman within their midst?
What should she EXPECT from such animals?
Having said that, I wonder if she’s had a major attitude adjustment about liberalism, Islam and The West since?
Throw rocks at me if you must, but if her attitude has NOT changed since then, then I suggest she may have indeed “gotten what she deserved”.
If you attack for having the temerity to say that, what was/is the general attitude of Freepers when the name Rachel Corrie is mentioned around here?
Obviously it is a result of the understandable frustration over the Israelis failure to commit suicide for the benefit of the Palestinians.
I’m going to hold judgement on this poor woman who has all my sympathy despite CBS putting her into this maelstrom of hate.
But I do know that when some journalists were attacked during the Korean deli boycott pogram in Brooklyn years ago, they blamed themselves (being white and privileged, you know). Jimmy Breslin may have been one of them. So I know where you are coming from.
I hope she’ll be like the Central Park jogger - and have no memory of the attack.
Dear God, she fell into a huge group of grubby, crazed Eygptian men screaming “Jew! Jew!” - what the hell do you think happened? They plucked her bra strap? Use some common sense.
Democratic Underground is all over Free Republic at the moment looking for comments like “she deserved it.” Makes us look real sensitive! I’m ashamed anyone on this site would dare to go there.
