The news from CBS about correspondent Lara Logans assault in Egypt is awful beyond words.
At a time like this, we all feel helpless. And angry. The perpetrators, anonymous men in an angry mob, may never see justice.
Perhaps we can channel that frustration and anger towards righting a wrong closer to home. To some other outrage
say
the reaction to Logans assault from a fellow at the NYU Center for Law and Security, Nir Rosen.

Noticed one thing though. The American flag was not burned.
I’m still waiting for the furious response from the LSM over Sandra Bernhard’s statement that Palin would be gang raped by blacks if she went to Manhattan.
It was Obama’s uncivil comments about Mubarak that caused this rape. He said that Mubarak must resign now ,step down!
If Palin has something to do with the Giffords shooting, cranking up the rhetoric too high, then Obama cranked up the rhetoric too high in an incivil manner on the Egyot democracy movement.
Obama CAUSED the rape of Lara Logan!
Shame!! Shame!
Run American women from the ME! Run before its too late! The next Obama rape could be YOU!!!!!
Obama has to stay away from the media and telvision, he was sending secret rape messages to the protesters over the Televison Networks!!!
I wonder what the feminazis will say? Oh that’s right—they will say nothing, because if they can’t use it to peddle leftism in America it’s not worth comment.
Her employers in both print and on tv (CNN) did report the “assault”, but their concern for her was quite shallow and rather brushed off. They said there would be no further comments, this presumedly because her family has asked for privacy.
American young adults covering a war zone or a protest in a high risk neighborhood seem to ignore the mores of the host country, instead they cluelessly continue to employ the Hollywood think of the USA.
and people were wondering why they saw no women protesting
I regret that she went through that. I hope she recovers, physically and psychologically. I wonder if it will affect her reporting attitude.>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Wiki reports that Lara Logan is married to a Houston Texas military contractor, they appaerently had one child together?
I mean is this ridicule of Logans rape any way for grown men to talk about the rape of a mother?
This whole thing is starting to sicken me, from the CBS burying the story to the pundit reaction to it.
I hope Lara goes home to hubby in Texas, hangs up her reporting shoes and stays safe at home with her child, where she belongs. A woman unarmed like that in a muslim mob whose securty was inadequate to protect her? She had no business even being there. He editors back here in the USA must be ass haoles of the first order.
Egypt is not the USA. Over there the sometimes rape Western women and then slit them open from stem to sternpost as examples of what to do with “infidel sluts.” What was CBS thinking, sending in Lara Logan, and then ABC sent in Couric? Both of them are lucky they were not killed in this fracas. Liberal fascist Political correctness has met the reality of the world of the Muslim Brotherhood.Obama made all of the MSM think he would “protect “ them.IN fact they became Obama’s cannon fodder.
And they still support Obama’s talking points, carrying the Obama water? They must all be masochists or something.
The MSM knows first hand now, why democracy in Egypt will fail. Obama knew it before he began the Egypt democrafarcey initative, he is rooting for the Muslim Brotherhood, not for the likes of Lara Logan.
Get that MSM?????
I'll bet that not much like that was seen on TV.
Limbaugh: Egyptian Anti-Govt Protesters Mock Obamas Yes We Can Slogan
And beaten.
Prayers for Lara.
I just hope some LSM eyes got opened in this nightmare.
All I've seen in the articles is sexual assault. I haven't seen any sources that say she was gang raped.
Now remember, anyone who criticizes these randy youths is Islamophobic.
I haven’t read a time line yet, so it could well be that what happened was that the men beat her while forcefully grabbing her breasts, buttocks and vagina. Rape is a more specific term than sexual assault because it means penetration of the vagina or anus.

On Friday February 11, the day Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak stepped down, CBS correspondent Lara Logan was covering the jubilation in Tahrir Square for a “60 Minutes” story when she and her team and their security were surrounded by a dangerous element amidst the celebration. It was a mob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy.
In the crush of the mob, she was separated from her crew. She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers. She reconnected with the CBS team, returned to her hotel and returned to the United States on the first flight the next morning. She is currently in the hospital recovering.
What idiot sent her there in the first place? Did he or she think that being a western newsbabe would protect her???
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
She is a 39 yo South African who has been covering the Iraq/Iran/Afghanistan situations for many years and has a very favorable opinion of the troops and Military types.
She is currently the Chief Foreign affairs Correspondent for CBS News and a 60 Minutes Correspondent.
She is also a former swim suit model....
Don’t hold your breath.
If she has any manly men relatives, the whole thing can be ‘taken care of’ for about $50.00 or less.
