On Friday February 11, the day Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak stepped down, CBS correspondent Lara Logan was covering the jubilation in Tahrir Square for a 60 MINUTES story when she and her team and their security were surrounded by a dangerous element amidst the celebration. It was a mob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy.
In the crush of the mob, she was separated from her crew. She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers. She reconnected with the CBS team, returned to her hotel and returned to the United States on the first flight the next morning. She is currently in the hospital recovering.
There will be no further comment from CBS News and Correspondent Logan and her family respectfully request privacy at this time.

Knew something was going on when she was not on air from here in US after returning to CONUS.
This rumor has been working for a few days, and was all but confirmed by the lack of comment or denials from anyone at Black Rock or West 57th.
Some may say Logan has a checkered past, but nothing deserves this!
When 3 CBS engineers were killed by a perp years ago, Rather went into a (well deserved) on-air outrage. This time, there will probably be nothing, because, Lord knows, we don’t want to upset the “Arab Street.” Source with many years in SWA says many Muslims will approve of this, because, it was an infidel getting what she deserved.
When will the rest of America wake up?
EXCLUSIVE: CBS NEWS LARA LOGAN DIVORCE WAR .
And weren't all Americans warned to leave the country?
Oh sure. The men couldn’t help themselves.
Nobody is saying she wasn’t foolish to be there, but that does NOT excuse the men from raping her.
Idiot....
Then you saw the video I linked I take it?
That is their peaceful protest in action.
What a shame .. and i do mean SHAME that these “reporters” say everything is just fine and dandy there.
The Muslim Brotherhood wants Sharia law there now. period. they will emerge on top of the game because Obama is putting them there.
Islam is not a religion and people better wake up to that fact. It is a political system backed by religious edicts.
Their laws are mandated by “god” and violence, lying, rape, murder is all not only acceptable but DEMANDED by their laws, which have been commanded by the Prophet.
It is a sinister system of controlling people to act in the most base and depraved manner on the planet. They will happily die or kill to keep it going, because that is the only way to heaven for them.
the MSM better start telling people the truth and they should start right here with this incident of Lara Logan.
THIS is ISLAM.
It is not peaceful or about religion.
It is important to remember this is an isolated event and would never happen to females allowed to serve in the military. </sarcasm>
Rather tasteless of them: they could hire an intern to screen out the dirt and forward the supportive messages.
NO cheers, unfortunately. Prayers for her emotional recovery too.
Napoleon Bonaparte admitted to only one fear: Mobs.
I’m glad you and I like each other. :p
Heehee
Yes, and you don’t even know about Laura Bush and the teleprompter!
:)
“Oh sure. The men couldnt help themselves.”
That’s the problem with most women, they just can’t seem to reason their way out of an emotionally charged subject like this. I didn’t say that the men weren’t responsible I just said that she also was responsible, not only because of her presence there but also because of her behavior. Big difference but something you just cannot quite grasp.
Leslie Stahl going to an interview in a Syrian (or was it Lebanese) prison in a shiny black miniskirt a few years ago. And look at this typical western woman neckline. They are being provocative. Just being honest. These muzzies are animals but don’t trot out blood in front of the wolves.
Lara will be back. We need babes to “report” on the OSCAR ceremonies.
She’s not a slave. She could have said she wouldn’t go.
Oh yeah, I remember the one reporter who was told to get out that she wasn’t wanted and she headed right out. Cooper as well.
What ever possessed this woman to go there is beyond me. It can’t be that she didn’t know what it was all about. More like she figured that she was with her crew. So she had some false sense of security. Probably figured her editor wouldn’t send her if the danger was really still very likely. All mixed in with the idea that she was a veteran of reporting in war zones and could find a way out if she really had to.
I am betting that she was separated from her crew so fast that by the time she registered the danger she was in too deep to extract herself. Much like combat, it probably came so fast and all of her senses were in overload that she couldn’t grasp it all as it happened.
She is lucky to be alive that is for sure. I guess what bothers me the most about this is how they are portraying everything as a good transition. I bet that more than half of Americans have no idea what is really happening there. We here, who probably have a better grasp than most are only getting bits and pieces.
Sadly, the MSM continues to allow the propaganda that Obama has orchestrated some great change there. I actually saw a clip of Chris Matthews saying how happy he was that Obama had done this and how excited he was for Obama. His words were
“It took Obama to do this”
How prophetic and on the mark he was. Only a hard core closet Muslim would support such atrocities and claim that they are all going according to plan.
I heard on the news that it was Egyptian women that came to her aid first and then the military. Egyptian women!!! Some “religion of peace” those animals were that raped her.
;)
These people are a peaceful lot, simply desiring democracy for their loved ones. Surely, the only one to blame for anything would be the American reporterette. Either she submitted to an Israeli smear campaign against Muslims and nothing actually happened, or she was accosted, but by Jews who were planted in the crowd to make Muslims look bad.
I'll go one step further. On the incredibly remote chance that “a” Muslim or even “two” Muslim men attacked her, she's to blame. She's out there, being “all important” with her video crew, looking more hot than any little boy even could to them. She's an American and she's she's sympathetic to the Muslim cause and she's available there, just when she would have been most needed by the men. Allah says it's okay to rape the non-believers and to slaughter their loved ones in front of them as they are being raped, just to prove Muslim superiority, so this woman should be completely grateful for the kindness of those men for not killing her family, and instead, just enjoying proper sexual relations in the light of Allah's love.

It seriously was .. I thought it was great. Not only that he straightened her out that the transition is far from over, not exactly as she says. But that his credentials are so good in the media’s eyes.
But the kicker is when you relate her propaganda of such a peaceful transition and then what has happened to Lara Logan .. anything but peaceful and good.
I wonder of she would do an interview of Logan and try to pawn off what a good transition it has been and how the crowds are so well organized?
“I heard on the news that it was Egyptian women that came to her aid first and then the military. Egyptian women!!! Some religion of peace those animals were that raped her.”
But can we believe the news. Somehow I have trouble believing that a few repressed Muslim women would confront a mob of 200 screaming criminal perverts.
..... because CBS news always respects others privacy.
Why not? They've been saying all along they can do the same job as men. I say let em get treated like men if they think they can handle it.
The feminists chickens are coming home to roost.
