TUESDAY MIDDAY--- BREAKING NEWS ON OBAMACARE REPEAL:
The House Rules Committee has rejected Rep. Steve King's proposal to FULLY DEFUND ObamaCare, failing to agree to "protect" King's amendment when it comes to the House floor.
Bottom line -- Republicans on the Rules Committee refused to play hardball to fully defund ObamaCare. By doing so, they are allowing Pelosi's "mandatory" self-funding provisions -- which many say are unconscionable if not unconstitutional -- to stand! This will force this Congress to approve most of the funding for ObamaCare.
FoxNews says King's provision would "cripple all government operations devoted to executing the health law."
DEBATE BEGINS THIS AFTERNOON.
We have GOT to stop this “shoot first, ask questions later” mentality.
It’s totally understandable (and I am guilty myself) but we’re just blowing up at everything these days.
Once you see the facts, it isn’t as bad as it seems. Sure, we have to keep the heat on (and slowly turn it up) but let’s save our fury for where it’s needed.
I owe you any apology, Typical_Whitey.
I confused you with someone else on this thread.
I am sorry for my post.
I honestly thought (in hinesite) that the U.S. supreme court injustices that did roe v. wade should be dragged out and shot as wannabe tyrants.
Now I’m convinced they should simply be ignored and the Federal agents that attempt to enforce their edict should be arrested and if at last necessary shot by State forces like any common criminal resisting arrest with arms while attempting thief, kidnapping, or blackmail.
So now we are going to be forced to fund an unconstitutional bill?
LOL. Does that mean the taxpayers get their money back if the Supreme Court upholds the lower court ruling?
During the current discussion on the floor, each representative begins his remarks with, “I move to strike the last word.” Does anyone know what that means in this context?
Got to remember while the new house may clam to be on our side they are Federal offices. We are talking about Their power here just as we are also talking about OUR liberty...
At the end of the day politicians are by nature predisposes to choose their power over our liberty.
Sounds like we need a Million Man Tea Party Rally in Washington.
I’m not sure that just a ‘march’ is going to do the trick.
OK then, no problem. I see why people don't want a cryer.
Personally I don't care if he soaks the carpets of the House as long as he gets the job done. But every day I'm doubting more and more that he can get the job done. That could make us all cry.
where do we sign up for the revolution......Egypt comes to Amerika!!
The bigger issue here is ... THEY HAVE NO AUTHORITY TO FUND IT. THE COURT RULED THE LAW UNCONSTITUTIONAL. We have every Right, right now to go APE on them. They are breaking the law.
What do you think of an idea where we take one day and instead of converging on DC, everyone across the country converges on their own town center or city hall or whatever they have?
There would be millions of people that could participate at the same time and we could really show zer0 how much support OUR side has.
“Sometimes you just gotta flush twice.”
You got that right. They are not quick learners.
Just what is it that makes you little guys twitch and grovel in the face of calling a Leftwingtard a Leftwingtard? Do you imagine you are showing yourselves to be more clever?
For all it's worth you could call these Leftists "toenail clippers" ........
It’s a great idea. I think the effect would be ‘dulled’ though (just imo).
A march on DC........particularly when Congress is in ‘session’, would have the effect of making tail ends pucker if you know what I mean.
Can you imagine being in session and ‘hearing & seeing’ thousands/millions outside? (they will no doubt use the tunnels to navigate)
That’s just my opinion Paulcy. But whatever is most effective... (I’m a soldier not a leader)
I would think that a very large contingent would still end up in DC. I just wanted people that couldn’t make it there to congregate “downtown” where their protest could be noticed, too.
That’s all.
