Michele Bachmann says whoever emerges as the GOP nominee will have to be prepared to be a one-term president.

“They have to have the requisite political courage to stare down the media and all the special interest groups and make it happen,” Bachmann said in the interview shown on Glenn Beck's website Monday.
“They have to be willing to be a one-term president because there’s going to be serious work that needs to be done here. Cutting spending — and that’s going to cause a lot of people to squeal — and getting rid of ObamaCare,” she said.
Bachmann said the job will take one “tough hombre” — or “hombre-ette.”

Even Bahrain is having riots right now. Never thought I’d see that. I’m shocked that Saudi Arabia hasn’t exploded.
I was thinking the exact same thing. In order to bring the US out of the pit, we have to jettison the biggest weights. SS, Medicare, hell even the IRS need to go. EPA, DoE, DoT, Education... all of them need to go back to the sovereign States.
The only responsibility of the Federal government is to maintain the safety of the States through a powerful national defense. Re-fund our military and even NASA, and let’s get this country moving again.

Perhaps not far enough ahead. The one term prez will be replace by a ‘stop the cuts - increase spending’ democRat. My guess there will be a democRat majority in the house and senate because of the ‘damage’ the one term Republican prez did.

Has anyone other than Rand Paul shown a budget cutting plan that does any serious cuts to entitlements?

Her plan outlined $430 Billion in cuts versus Rand Paul’s $500 billion. I wouldn’t scoff at either.
She’s been watching Chris Christie operate here in NJ. Good blueprint to follow, if you ask me.
What I do scoff at was Paul Ryan’s 32 Billion pittance in cuts.
Imagine. A good looking Chris Christie, and one that understood the 2A to boot.
