but they are getting girls now... so... who gets to hot bunk with Sheila???
Meanwhile, the smoking lantern is lit in the White Hut.
I don’t smoke. And I don’t particularly like to be around cigarette smoke. But this makes me side with those who do.
I don’t chew. And I have cursed chew after sticking my fingers in padeyes to retrieve a screw only to have to fish it out of the brown spit. But how long will it be before they ban chew?
And the people into self-gratification...you’re next.
Next they’ll outlaw cabin boys.
It seems like one place it might not be a good idea to smoke would be on a submarine.
If they think this is bad, just wait until Michelle gets through “revising” the menu and they get to enjoy tofu, celery sticks, and dehydrated carrots!
I’m surprised it was allowed before this! No, I’m not an anti-smoking Nazi. But a submarine is a closed system and I would think that smoking would put a stressor on the system that you would want to avoid.
Until this I believe it’s been up to the skipper whether the smoking lamp gets lit on a submarine. I quit eight years ago and it wasn’t easy.
For cryin’ out freakin’ loud!! You volunteer to defend the country’s billions for a few bucks a day and you can’t have a smoke!?! What mambey pambey bs is this?
I am certain that this will drastically cut the lawsuits concerning second hand smoke on submarines, increase the longevity of our submariners, and save the government countless millions of dollars on litigation and healthcare costs.
