I read good things about this movie but the comments on Youtube are brutal. Of course there’s alot of zombies/brainchallenged people on there...
Has anyone here seen this yet?
From what I hear it opens April 15. I don’t expect to hear good things from the media about this movie, regardless of how it actually is, unless they rather severely butcher the entire premise.

Just saw the trailer for the first time— not impressed, sadly. The story needs to be updated for the 21st century. Railroads and steel aren’t what’s driving today’s economy.
The YouTube posters are mindless, mushbrained, leftist zealots. Conservatives and Constitutionally-minded Americans don’t use YouTube to the liking of the progressive front.
That being said, this movie looks amazing. On par with your typical government/espionage movies starring Harrison Ford from the 90s. I’m on my second pass through the book, and I’m absolutely stoked that this movie is coming along. I hope they do it justice.

“Hollywood” will probably not be fair to the book because “Hollywood” can not understand it.
It does not fit they’re model.

No...I’ve not read the book and I may get flamed for this but never heard of it before joining FR. It seems to be a legendary read according to FReepers.
With that said I’m loading up the trailer now to catch a glimpse.

I’m loading the trailer now (dial up here) to watch and plan on starting the book. Unfortunately, I’ve never read it; really, until joining FR, never heard of it either but as many FReepers that have talked about it and referred to it, it must be pretty profound.
I did a bit of research on Rand and saw she was an atheist so my interest diminished somewhat. BUT...because so many of you have read it and recommend it...I’m starting it this week.

That was Bob Beckel’s brother, Graham Beckel, in one clip. He’s a conservative. You have to catch him on Hannity every now and then.

What happened to Bob?? You know, it's amazing, when I had T.V. I'd see Bob Beckel and he always "sounded" reasonable and level headed with his annunciation of words etc...but the garbage he advocates is hard to stomach. It's amazing that he has a conservative for a brother. Wonder what happened to him.
It is my understanding this movie was created by independents....not the hollyweirdos.
