As the 2012 presidential race approaches, the Republicans are exploring all possibilities to deny Barack Obama a second term. As the potential Republican candidates met in Washington for the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the real estate mogul Donald Trump made a surprise appearance to reiterate the possibility of him running for president in 2012. Among the likes of Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney and Ron Paul, the real estate mogul will have to first beat out the ever popular Sarah Palin to even be considered.
Although Trump flirted with the idea way back in 1999 when Bill Clinton was the President on a Reform Party ticket, he recently stated his plans of running for president in November 2010. He had told ABC it "could be fun" to run because he wanted "to see some positive things happen for the country." Before that in October, he had told Fox News that if he were to run for president he would as a Republican.
Now, his February appearance on the CPAC has set off a strong buzz that Trump would run for the White House in 2012. According to media reports, it was the Trump camp that reached out to organizers of the event on the possibility of the potential presidential contender delivering a speech. Trump also made some strong statements on Thursday as he felt that the country was becoming "the laughingstock of the world."

You posted this just so you could say i dont like either one, buttttt.
I don’t need to say it. I’m a conservative.
If a strong runner appears, Sarah is likely to throw her support to that person. I don’t think it will be Trump, however. Trump is too stratospheric in his worldview to connect like Sarah does.
Trump would have to work awful hard to prove he’s even a conservative. I do like his stance on China and terrorists, however.
Yeah, getting attacked by China or by terrorists would really suck if you were a billionaire. Fortunately, they also suck if you’re Sarah Palin.
Two people are adressing China as an enemy. Trump and Allen West.
I think any sane president needs to be ready for the possibility of active hostilities from China, India, what have you. China is an ambiguous ally right now, and it’s trying to live off of exporting its good stuff to America in exchange for American IOUs. That can’t last forever.
By the way, Sarah Palin has publicly complained about how Obama policy has lessened US influence in the geopolitical sphere compared with China. Just Google for it. She doesn’t need to be ranting and raving about let’s nuke China in order to have a sane view of its danger (and opportunity).
China is an ambiguous ally? Shirley you jest.
Hey, they’re stuck with the USA for the near future. When and if they find a better customer, things will get rocky.
Not worth a whole lot. Trump is a nut.
Married a bunch of times.
Companies in bankruptcy a number of times.
Walks around with what looks to be the carcass of a bleached possum on his head. Is he vain? Looking for attention? A tad off?
Stars in a reality TV show where he screams a lot, if previews are any indication.
Did commercials for everything from pizza and mattresses.
Featured in a music video by Bobby Brown, pretty good singer and renowned drug addict.
I don't see any of that as presidential. Sarah Palin isn't my favorite candidate by a very long shot, but Donald Trump is a walking joke.
Arnold
Governator
there are no state laws in place to keep me off the ballot
Maybe he plans a reality show based on his campaign.
IMO, Trump isn`t guided by any moral standing. What amounts to “good” vs “bad” is strictly based on what benefit the deal brings to Trump. He doesn`t give two sh*ts about anything else.
None of the social values issues that matter to conservatives matter to Trump. It`s all about contracts and money.
Trump would never get my vote for any office.
If you`re waiting for Trump to prove himself a conservative, you`ll be waiting a long time. He`s no conservative. He`s about contracts and dollars. Fine when you`re a CEO of a corporation... not President.
The Donald is who I support as of right now. He has so much media visibility he could easily whip the jug eared Kenyan. We are in that kind of media driven era
Exactly. Trump has no values system. Everything has a price to him.
trump is ridiculous
ross perot redux, but with a much worse combover
You think most politicians are any different? W had a price, toon had a price, obama - worst ever, etc etc.
