Both my PBS channels are pleading between each program to everyone to call their CA Senator or Representative to try and head this off. There’s a strong hint of anxiety and potential dispare in their plea!!!

I’ll believe it when I see it, but in the mean time I’m getting ready for some emmy winning dhim sob stories about the poor npr and pbs types who have to go and find real jobs to pay for the 17 children or 42 dogs and cats they have to support.

” Dozens of programs, including the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, are eliminated.”

....I know it sounds crazy, but this is the ONE that I want most....let the elites pay their own way.

Got a few dozen czars in that big ol’ White House that could use non-government paychecks.

It blocks the spending of about $2 billion in unused economic stimulus money and seeks to prevent the Internal Revenue Service from enforcing the new health care law. The measure also cuts financing directly from the office of the president.

Great start. To also defund the propoganda ministry and EPA. WooHoo!

Good luck with those cuts making it past the Senate. They’re long overdue though and they should be bigger.

Democrats said a stalemate would lead to a government shutdown like the one in 1995 that followed a face-off between Congressional Republicans and the Clinton administration

Oh how they will wish it so. Go ahead rats. Gamble that the electorate of 2011 will blame the GOP.

cut the wages of all politicians to that what a soldier makes every year 19,000.00. What a savings right there. The politicians do not even read the bills that they pass, so make them work for a change at 19,000.00 the politicians will be fighting for the next meal. If they receive lobbyist money tax it at 100%. Any gifts and gratutities tax them too. The cesspool in DC needs to make sacrfices. So the damn politicians can work for a change and the American people can see them make some sacrifice - no fringe benefits. defund Odumbocare. Make the president payback the taxpayers for all his worthless trips and cut his pay to 50 cents a day. Maybe than Odumbo will realize he has something to complain about about The American people are so mean, the president works for peanuts, instead he believes Americans must make a sacrifice for him because he is so great. He is so worthless.

What I don’t understand is:

1. Why is obastard care hard to defund?
2. The budget has grown 3/4 of a TRILLION dollars since 2008 and all they can find to cut is $100 billion and they are having trouble with that?
3. Cut only $3 bil of unspent money from the stimulus. Why not cut all of the unspent money? It doesn’t exist and has to be borrowed anyway
4. Dept of Energy hasn’t made much of a showing. Cut all programs that don’t produce
5. Only 30% of EPA? Why not the whole damn thing?

The budget is taking nearly 25% of the GDP. It is all just overhead. No business could survive with 25% overhead. Maybe 5% but not 25%.
